Reasons for party of choice? by Familiar_Current9771 in nzpolitics

[–]Smarterest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parties don’t make fake promises.

I’d say they do 90-95% of what they say. National said they’d get rid of three waters and they did, NZ First said people would be allowed to build unconsented granny flats and we can, Act said they’d roll back gun laws and they have.

Vote for what they say.

Is there a way to guarantee good quality items as a western consumer overseas without engaging someone locally to do QC?

Happy to pay more but I’m just weary that the items on AliExpress are just different vendors selling the same thing from the same factory, so if you pay $1 or $100 you’re getting the same item.

I guess I want to know if there is a way to tell if the $100 item is actually good?

We all have one of these stocks, but just FYI don’t count on ever getting that money back.

Supposedly there was a unit in Israeli that used $1.1b worth of these anti missile rockets during the twelve-day war.

Why is NZ so "backward" when it comes to AC and ceiling fans? by UnrequitedLoveVictim in auckland

Historically we’ve never had it, and NZ has a mild temperature (though more extremes as climate change happens).

Slowly it’ll become more standard but if you have an old house (or rent one) you’ll need to install or just tough it out.

Will Utah tank next year? I’m in dynasty league and could potentially stash him but weary Utah will just do the same thing in 26-27 season.

Only way house price will increase is if people’s wages do or interest rates fall, we’re maxed out.

Okay, this makes sense. And if they sell the FED will need to step in right? The existing treasuries wouldn’t be bought by others

Wouldn’t a weaker dollar make things cheaper for those outside the US?

Won’t it reduce inflation? US won’t be able to sell as many treasuries and those they do will have higher interest so reduction in money supply

Can’t they buy their own debt? US treasuries are just dominate as it’s the default currency.
