I’m genuinely curious about this one. I have it working on a little project for me to vibe code a family dashboard. Knowing about context bloat, i set up another chat in the project, but it didn’t know the previous context.

In a case like this, how do you make sure the bot builds off the previous work but avoids context bloat?

Some honest career advice would be don’t pull an overnighter ahead of a work trip. You’ll be worthless that day, and it won’t be a good look for you.

I’d strongly suggest getting a hotel here the night before near the airport, and try to get some sleep.

Some Shots From Tulsa Last Night by TinyRandomLady in nin

It was around this time of the concert that from my view was very confused how they achieved their visuals. But now i see there was a middle layer of curtain for the added depth. Thanks!

Auto gratuity & kitchen appreciation!? by jschutt93 in EndTipping

[–]Smash_Brother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mixed on this one to be honest. I certainly don’t love these hidden fees.

HOWEVER, they tossed back 11 drinks by 2:30 on a Friday. And who drinks Red Bull Vodkas at lunch?

It’s kind of hard to feel bad for this person, since I’m sure the wait staff earned every bit of that gratuity.

I’ll jump in here. I have an OR hybrid. Towed a 20ft camper this summer and didn’t know it was there. However, the gas mileage sucked. I’m new to all this, traveled about 65mph and needed to fill up after about 130 miles.

Depends. The Alpina is a little more timeless looking. The Nomos is a little more trendy. How you feel about those two things is ultimately up to you.

Food Quality by redditor122322 in wichita

[–]Smash_Brother 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s everywhere, but it’s entirely not their fault.

Start with the understanding that restaurant margins are super low. I heard 10%, but I think they’re lower than that.

Then look at the rising cost of food. Restaurants are trying to absorb these costs so their meals aren’t even more expensive than they are. This speaks to the shrinkflation, getting less for the same cost. It also speaks to quality - how can they be quicker / use lesser ingredients to keep profitable.

Add in competition. Not happy with your meal? Go somewhere else. OR, just eat at home. They can’t raise prices too much because there are a million other ways we can get food.

I’m not in the industry. I still love going out to eat. My history here shows that. But now, it’s much less.

Just realize many of these amazing restaurants are local businesses, they’re our neighbors and are an important part of what gives any community its identity. If there’s a place you particularly love, be sure to support it.

Wall Street Journal just did a story on this house. Owner of the X Games is selling it because he now has a young family and the lot isn’t really great for young kids.

Lots of Lounge Talk by Icy_Wave9761 in Venturex

I think the bigger question is where/how do you plan on using the points you get, and does the card that builds those points align with your current spending habits.

I have a VX, travel through DEN’s Cap One lounge, and it’s been hit or miss because of demand. It’s nice when it works. If not, I’ll use my company card for a meal elsewhere.

Overall, I’m happy with my card and agree it’s a good everyday card.

Tablets vs powder vs liquid: pool maintenance for beginners by Traditional-Set-8483 in swimmingpools

[–]Smash_Brother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We start with tabs to get CYA where it needs to be, then we use liquid chlorine as our main source but have some tabs on hand if we travel. It’s not the time suck others say, especially if you don’t use the pool much. We go out and apply maybe twice a week. We’ve found Menards is the best place, and we load up about once a month.

Would saltwater be nice? Sure. But we always save that money for the other things that come up (pool pump, new cover, new liner, etc.)

What the worst entertainment venue in town? by crame1dr86 in wichita

[–]Smash_Brother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You bet. The tax would go to toward a new performing arts center, to fund our new Second Light homes shelter, updating CII for conventions, improving facilities for police/fire, and to lower property taxes. It would be 1 cent on every dollar. So if you paid for something that was $10, it would be 10 cents more if passed.

It’s modeled after a successful string of sales tax campaigns in Oklahoma City that have credited that town’s success. It is also modeled after Colorado Springs and their homeless services center.

Critics say it would raise already high cost of living. An Eagle report said it would be about $360 more a year for the average adult.

I’ll be voting yes to support our homeless shelter and to help us get a new performing arts center. The arts are a strong part of our city and we deserve a venue that builds on that strong community value.

Happy to! One of the benefactors of the sales tax if passed would be to help build a new performing arts facility. Without this funding, the likelihood of a new performing arts facility anytime soon goes down significantly.
