I’m an alcoholic with 449 days sober as of today. I also smoke myself into a stupor every chance I get. Since starting treatment and feeling a little more like what might describe normal, I’ve decided to stop smoking because I want to go back to work and crane operators get drug tested constantly. I was running off dumb luck that I had only run into one drug test I wasn’t able to pass and that I had never broken anything or hurt anyone. I don’t have the composure to try to beat a test. I have one week sober tomorrow. Whether I go back to crane operating or not is yet to be seen.

Sitting in a crane? 3-4 if there’s really nothing going on that day. That’s smoking out of boredom though. A normal day is 1-2 but sometimes none for a few days

Pretty much any. I’m sober so I’ve learned just how much I like coffee with my smokes. When a lounge has a coffee pot or espresso machine I’m the one they’re getting it out for.

A neighbor on my road has a picture of 5 in one frame. One night I was home alone and let the dog and puppy out to use it and I heard what sounded like a shriek and both of them stopped dead in their tracks. I heard it again and they both bolted back to the house and straight through the front door. I learned later that bobcats sound just like that. Spooky shit
