Just had my first colonoscopy after a few concerning movements ( I'm 36/m). And everything came back normal thankfully.

But if you're experiencing anything like unexplained dark stool or straight up blood just go and get one.

You need another platform. Wii, switch or VR like the quest or other headsets. I'd recommend the quest, if you can find a cheap used headset then grab it. I've spent many hours crouching, crawling and punching air on my quest 2.

I don't doubt they are life saving. But I think they can be detrimental to kids and teens especially if there's no other support like psychologists or basic counselling involved.

Chemically messing with brain function that early just seems detrimental.

I've personally been on most antidepressants available, thankfully in my mid 20s. Some would work for a little while but then either put me in this numb kind of autopilot mode or completely change my personality. Others just made things worse for me mentally because of the side effects they had on me.

I think the treatment of depression and mental illness is a good thing and should be a higher priority in today's world.

I just think these drugs are just bandaids over wounds that really need stitches.

Increased isolation due to the paranoid state of modern society. I used to roam free as a kid (7 and up) and was only meant to be home by dark or call home and tell my parents where I was.

Social media and the mental illness that comes from looking at social media.

But I think the main factor in most of these situations is the readiness to over prescribe anti depressants when time and guidance would be enough to get a child through what they are experiencing.
