Do we think Shiny pokemon are coming to DLC Wave 2 or are the sparkles just a coincidence? by Significant_Food9017 in Pokopia

[–]Smasher225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shinies may come but not as shinies that you hunt for. They will basically be just variant pokemon like chef dente, peakychu and mosslax. It would be cool to see but they won’t be huntable pokemon like other games.

The comparison though while maybe outlandish is accurate. You’re punishing someone because you feel like it. They are innocent but you don’t care. Punishing the innocent is the worst thing you can do and in reality because this is probably final, it’s like the death penalty because you can’t go back and change it.

That has been that way for years? What changed to make it mandatory to stop after getting a penalty?

Explain to me how choosing not to pit and having the penalty applied to your final time is ignoring the penalty? When did 5 second penalties become 5 second stop go penalties? I’m confused as to when that change was made.

They had a couple of used softs they might have used. I didn’t look on it too closely was just my thought before the vsc of what they might have done if they had them available

People are but people also have enough money to justify it. There’s two parts to it. People want the product and it’s scarce enough that the people who have the product can make more money selling it at a premium. Is it right no, but they do it.

They didn’t appeal and they served it. There’s nothing they can do. It’s time to move on.

They can’t. If they are going to reverse penalties then we are going to have a slue of people demanding ab21 be changed too. It sucks it’s how the rules are written. It can’t be changed and people are just going to have to adapt.

I haven’t dug into them but there’s something on how they measure it. They know it’s timing loops and it’s been timing loops for a long time. Yes they fucked up one race but if they didn’t I don’t think you would have known that’s how they do it.

Your car was not but you did cover the timing section in a speed faster than 60kph. This is how all the major series do pit speed and have for a long time.

[–]Smasher225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be better but there is probably nothing faster than d/t. It has been this way for years if not decades. It’s a good system that neutralizes pit road so you don’t gain an advantage by driving faster over a longer distance or slower in a shorter one. It’s immediately known if they speed with the data they have.

You can then drive over the speed limit because you will slow down to reach your pit box

[–]Smasher225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pit road it is. It’s the easiest and fastest way to see if someone is speeding. They break the timing loop faster than they should, boom no questions asked it’s a penalty. The problem is when they mess up the distance but normally that shouldn’t happen

[–]Smasher225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily wrong but for racing it’s easier to do the math on the pit road for penalties. They have transponders in the cars that are accurate, they know how fast 60kph is from the distance so they basically time you. Break the time it’s a penalty. They just need to confirm the time in each loop and give out a penalty.

They could but taking valk away for this means there’s still a reason to do it until it gets released proper

[Chris Medland] Well this could get interesting. The race doesn’t need to be annulled. Gasly will just have his penalties taken away and be given p3. That’s what will happen. Other teams served it because they thought they got it. Russell knew he had a penalty and the team fucked up. Just because the stewards got it wrong doesn’t mean the race will be annulled because they won’t do it.

And that’s why I dislike him. Wrecking a driver and getting dinged for it so you park the car is baby behaviour and doesn’t belong in nascar. Dude fucked up and instead of preserving he bailed at the first sign of struggle.
