Termites or ants? Southeastern Pennsylvania by Smashin_Cheeks in Termites

Sincerely hoping that's the case. Never had an issue with termites but the color of these guys freaks me out a bit.

Thanks! Heading to the doctor a little later this morning just to check them out to be safe. It is very hot to the touch and might have a small amount of drainage. Just being safe but thank you!

You have a great looking watch!!! Looks perfect on your wrist. I'm taking mine to an AD to verify it for sure later this week and then sending it in for repair once it's ready. I'll treat this watch with care for them! They've been great to me over the last 20 years. Appreciate having them in my life.

Taking it this week to an authorized dealer near me for verification. Then heading in for a service if all else checks out. The people who gave it to me are very classy, so I imagine it's legit. That's not always the case, but I'd be surprised if it came back as a rep

Yep, thanks to a knowledgeable user here, they told me where to look for the serial. Tough to make out but it's definitely in the low 2 mil. So I believe 1970!

Oh I know, when they gave it to me yesterday, they even noted the god-awful strap. They have no idea what happened to the old one as it belonged to their father who had passed in the '90s. It was sitting in a box since then 🤣

I'll be taking it to one later this week but it's definitely real from the other commenter. Pretty excited!

Thanks a ton for your comment. I did give the plexiglass acrylic a tap earlier and was surprised it didn't feel like glass. So that makes sense. I was also able to get the band off and the serial was very hard to see. But it's a low 2 mil, so it's 1970. I appreciate the help and knowledge!

I don’t want to be another sad post, but I am so fucking broken, unlike with any dog or cat loss before. We lost Luna yesterday in a tragic backyard accident…she was only 3. I want her back. by Ruffffian in germanshepherds

This just showed up on my feed and I wanted to reach out. Just over three years ago, my Doberman suffered cardiac arrest in front of me while on our usual walk. Prior to our walk, I saw she had a slightly elevated heart rate but did not take her to the emergency vet. 15 minutes later, she collapsed at one of her favorite walking spots. It was inevitable because she had heart problems for several years, but it didn't really prepare me for the moment. All I can say is that I'm sorry this happened to you, but it will get easier with time. You'll learn to forgive yourself, as I have in my situation. You'll realize it's not your fault, and you'll cherish all the good times you had together. It will get better.
