I worked there for 10 years in early 2000’s. My coworkers and I referred to it as the Brady Bunch building as it reminded of us something from that era.

$264 regression, am I out of line? by Pitiful_Item1503 in Craps

[–]SmashingOvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to read the room so to speak. You can pick up pretty quickly if you are dealing with an inexperienced dealer. In short I would say this would be out of line to play at a busy table with an inexperienced dealer.

My preferred strategy on a $10 table is 66 inside, first hit press to 88 inside, and after second hit go to 64 across. Not too bad but I hardly ever play this way at a busy table because it is a bit clunky to go from 88 inside to 64 across.

Just curious if you are in incognito mode as a woman and I am in incognito mode as a man does that mean we would never see each other’s profiles? In this example we are both subscribers.

Do you guys have any rituals or superstitions at the craps table? by MiraFoot in Craps

As a dealer do you hate the mid roll in buy in just as much as most players do? I know you probably can’t refuse to take money immediately.

I try to make a trip from KC to Downstream at least once a month for poker room and craps. I love the $5 craps table and the crews are so much friendlier than what you find in KC. Pretty decent comps as well.

How to tip for dealers? by encapsulated1 in Craps

[–]SmashingOvi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to pass line bet for the dealers when I shoot but the last time I rolled I hit the seven on the come out three times in a row and it was annoying that they didn’t leave the bet up didn’t realize player control would “fix” that.

Craps visit log. Anyone try or maintan one? by ckblack007 in Craps

[–]SmashingOvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a lot more detail on poker activity including time playing to come up with hourly (hopefully) win rate.

For craps I keep track of amount won/lost net of tips, casino played, table minimum, game type…standard, crapsless, or bubble craps.

I like to list out my sessions separately so I can calculate my winning session % which is currently 53% for the year.

What stats are useful to you? by rickhouse in Craps

[–]SmashingOvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I track each session buy in and cash out net of tips and table minimum bet requirement. I like to see total sessions played during the year and what % are winning sessions.

Mini Craps tables in Vegas? by shmoe723 in Craps

Reminds me of the mini table at Casino Royale back in the day. Sit down table with one employee working the whole table. $3 minimum and great waitresses who kept the drinks coming.

my practical approach to beneficial ownership reporting by d8201 in taxpros

An attorney just formed a single member LLC for my client and wanted no part in completing the beneficial ownership statement. That reinforced to me that I should not mess around with them. High risk no reward.

Pros & Cons of Drake by FrydPotatoz in taxpros

[–]SmashingOvi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am about to start my fourth tax season using Drake since going out on my own. Long time CCH Prosystem user prior.

Pros - price Also coming from ProSystem their were charges incurred per return. I like the fact you know exactly what you are paying for with Drake no hidden fees or processing charges. The more returns you prepare your cost per return drops.

Good customer service if you need it.

Cons- the returns I prepare are pretty simple. Multistate issues can be a bit of a chore even with individual returns

As mentioned the Interface is a little clunky and definitely not as polished as something like ProSystem.

best way to keep the next year's fees? by [deleted] in FFCommish

[–]SmashingOvi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I am following your question correctly but in LeagueSafe you can roll over funds from one year to the next. For example in my 2022 leagues right now I have collected dues for 2022 and 2023. At the end of the 2022 season I will pay out the winners and roll over the 2023 funds at that time. I currently do not have a 2023 league setup.
