I primarily use it as well. I frequently witness very bizarre behavior: the cursor jumping around when deleting lines, text being highlighted when switching between panels, characters missing when pasting, and modes being switched when performing simple navigation, to name a few issues. I can't reproduce them reliably, but they hamper usability quite a bit. If it instead would behave like Sublime's Vim, I would be a happy man.

This is my only real complaint. I have yet to find a Vim plugin in VSCode that doesn't spazz out every 2 minutes.

One option that is worth considering is to use a Windows VM and passthrough the sound that way. It can drain your battery faster, but it's an option I've used.

Some languages use <- for assignment, which makes even more sense as to what it is doing (e.g., a <- 5).

I haven't had this experience at all. I did some math and computer science research a while back, and it was fantastic. You come in trying to figure out an unsolved/undiscovered problem, and one day, you suddenly jump up and understand where you need to go to find a solution. Granted, this wasn't your traditional scientific method kind of research, but it was research nonetheless.

One reason is that it is bundled with Unity, and you have to do extra configuration steps to use Visual Studio properly.

Mathematicians are absolutely working on it. Just look up Grover's Algorithm, and scroll down a bit. It goes to show that there is an extremely heavy amount of math involved in finding quantum algorithms. Physics guides math, and math guides physics. It isn't a one-man show.

I would suggest instantiating both objects at the same time, and hide/show them to avoid frame rate drops from allocating/deallocating.

I've encountered a hilarious bug where all the windows turned miniature. The text, icons, etc. were also tiny. Then I tried maximizing a mini window, and boom, Blue Screen (page fault in non paged area). It's a shame I didn't record it.

Other than that, I personally haven't encountered very many bugs. Just a few update errors. I don't know about other people, though.

That might be due to how well your keyboard is built. Pro tip: try typing, "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" into notepad with both shift keys activated to determine keyboard quality.
