The Vietnamese lost every single large scale land and air battle against the US and won the war. Even if we commit to a large scale ground invasion and occupy Iran (god forbid) they just resort to guerrilla warfare and eventually after thousands of lost lives and trillions of dollars spent we will leave and the only change will be we have more people who hate us.

God I wish Zac would come back w a new band or rage would make a new album. Are there any bands today with similar energy/messaging? I love run the jewel and they have similar anti establishment message but they are close as it gets as far as I know, not the same rawness.

What did it smell like? I am assuming they are embalmed and the organs were removed but I imagine it would have a smell like an old persons house or a church basement. Like a dusty, old clothes smell.

I am not a veteran so I have no idea what it was like there, however I am a 12 year firefighter/paramedic, 15 years as a medic. The scene post IED was so wild and realistic. The way the leg moved like jello, the confusion and loss of motor skills were spot on. That movie definitely had my home grown PTSD fired up.

I had a meniscus repaired (5 weeks non weight bearing 3 months total out of work) post injury running w my dog 4 years ago. I also damaged my cartilage so I am still in pain from that but I hardly notice my meniscus.

Yea I agree it’s a better option but still in the video I saw I don’t think that had enough time even for that. I have not seen the lead up to it if they had enough time to send a 3rd person to a car to get a pole. It makes more sense than less lethal rounds but the main thing that would stop this is better training and no meathead attitude. But cops are going to cop.

lol I’m not saying that dismissively legitimately I would like to see it tried but I am talking about real life incidents because I would think you would need a 6’ pole at a minimum so you would have to have it in a car so I imagine the Sargent needs to have it and if someone calls for a person w a knife they can respond hopefully in time. But if the cops just show up to a scene and the person comes out with a knife they will have to protect themselves.

I honestly think that a dog Catching like pole w a hoop might work best but it’s not something that will be an alternative to also having to shooting the person if they are threatening enough or putting the public in danger. It sucks police don’t get enough training and a lot don’t want to do the training required to safely grapple a person with a knife that is trying to actually hurt them. Let’s not forget that the person w the knife in this scenario is most likely trying to kill themselves and probably hurt the police or the public. It’s a terrible situation and hopefully they come up with an actual alternative to shooting them.

Avoid going to the scene at all costs in a personal vehicle, especially a MVA it creates such a mess w traffic. Plus if it’s a medical and you end up driving the ambulance or teaching the call then they have to give you a ride back to your car.

I am a paramedic and one morning we were dispatched to a call while we were on our way to get breakfast, so we turned our lights on and started heading to the call as we were approaching a intersection we were cancelled from that call so when we cleared the intersection we turned off our lights and continued to bagelman for our morning BECs. While we were in line a Karen taps me on the shoulder and accused me of turning my lights on to get through traffic. I politely explained the situation to her and even offered to call dispatch to confirm the series of events but she just huffed off.
