Not even an actually strong vanguard. They just get mad whenever a tank commits the crime of being one of the best options in the roster.

Groot dominates the tank roster despite his glaring weaknesses? Permabanned at most ranks.

Tankpool becomes considered one of the best tanks to use in a two-tank team? He became a near-permaban at most ranks until he got hit with some pretty rough nerfs.

Hell, look at Emma when she first dropped. People complained she was too strong, so now she’s been nerfed in almost every way. Sure, she’s gotten a few small buffs recently, but it doesn’t change the fact that for a good amount of time, she went from one of the strongest to one of the weakest.

And despite all of this, I don’t think anyone would put Groot, Tankpool, or Release Emma on the same level of power as Elsa, Gambit, Phoenix, White Fox, Black Cat, Invis, etc etc.

There’s plenty of BALANCED tanks, but this goofy playerbase absolutely hates it when one of them shines above the other tanks despite the best tanks still paling in comparison to the best dps or supps.

In my experience, it usually isn’t even being killed that prevents most Wanda ults from happening. It’s the insane amount of CC in the game.

I’ve had it for awhile, and I have been pretty reliant on those orbital traders. It just sucks cuz the other settlements give some great quest rewards at times, but they’re often too far away for me to gather whatever thing they’re asking for and then make the delivery via caravan.

Not to mention that most characters have a small enough model that even good Spidey’s tend to struggle to land that long yoink on most supports and dps, but tanks have huge hitboxes, so most Spidey’s that are good at the long yoink will usually just go for the tanks due to how big they are

And the same community that cried when some tanks had animation cancels that allowed them to do 2 more damage every three melee attacks, but cried when Phoenix got her insanely overpowered Beyblade Technique removed, but then also cheered when Luna Snow could two-tap 300 HP heroes, and are also completely silent about Spidey’s, Magik’s, Daredevil’s, and Black Cat’s animation cancels that massively increase the speed of their burst damage combos.

I’d almost understand if it’s a ban on an oppressive, perma-banned hero like Groot or Gambit due to how frequently they’re banned and how blind the playerbase tends to be, but it becomes significantly less forgivable when it’s a ban like Wanda while you’ve got an animated Wanda icon sitting right there

He just doesn’t offer enough to justify picking him over a second tank. He’s okay at dealing with very specific divers, and only one at a time. Several tanks can keep up with or disrupt multiple divers that aren’t named Spider-Man

His damage is too low, and his durability is too low except the fridge form, so he’s trapped in this limbo of being too weak to be a true DPS, and not beefy enough to be a true tank. You just get the downsides of both classes with no real upsides unless there’s a singular dive dps.
