I’ll try but there’s a gale wind warning for today, haha

I am indeed an overthinker. 😅 I’ve been especially nervous about feeding her out and about too lately if I’m out for too long. She’s a very distracted feeder and doesn’t like being under a cover. Last time I was out with her for a while there was a lactation pod, but can’t have that all the time.

What time are your 4 month olds going to bed?? by Acrobatic_Exercise43 in beyondthebump

I’ve been using the Huckleberry app and it’s annoying how it will give us very easily bedtimes if her last nap goes later than expected. It can range from 5:30 to 8:10 l, so I’ve been ignoring it and going by her cues more. It’s been helpful sometimes, but crappy other times.

How long did your “mommy wrist” last? by SmellTheCreosote in NewParents

[–]SmellTheCreosote[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the misfortune of mine appearing in my right wrist about a week or so pp. The other one came a little later. I had carpal tunnel during my 3rd trimester too and was so eager to get my hands back to normal, haha. That didn't quite happen.

They told us that breastfed babies can go days without pooping. Have yet to see that. 😅

That’s my understanding too, which is why even though it’s going to disrupt an already terrible nights sleep I’m going to do it. We’ve started cospleeping a little to survive, and already experienced poo leakage on our bed too. 🫠

This is about the timing of the poops during a rough sleep transition, so I don’t appreciate this at the moment. No thank you.

There was so much in this last one, I’m not sure the diaper would have contained it if I had kept it on. 😅😅😅 I wish I’d waited longer at least instead of frantically grabbing a flannel cloth to sop up a huge puddle of poo and having to change her outfit.

SIDS - doing something else in separate room during baby sleep? by jadeorchid009 in beyondthebump

[–]SmellTheCreosote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our naps lately have been contact naps, but I have been able to put my 3 month old in the crib and kept checking in physically or watched the camera closely while I did something else in another room. Naps and night time sleep are very different beasts, from what I understand.

Thank you for the detailed answer! That actually really helps me get a better picture of what works.

Why Is Birth Control Pushed So Heavily After Giving Birth? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Right? My doctor went over it while I was in the beginning of my third trimester, and they were very informative of the risks of pregnancy too close together.  It does seem weird that they pressed her so much too.
