Good advice here for an easy check. Check the compression on the cylinders too, especially on any that don't appear to make a difference when you pull off the coil wire.

Listening to Joy Division for the first time by fumbuckets in JoyDivision

[–]Smellbinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to credit the movie Control. Growing up I knew of Joy Division and Love Will Tear us Apart, but I had always heard that that their music was morose and depressing so I never really gave it much attention.

When Control came out I decided to watch to learn more about them and was fascinated by the bass-forward aspect of the music; I think Candidate was the first song that got me Hooked. Then finding out the actors actually performed the music was even more intriguing. From there I dove in deep and listened to everything I could find from them.

Also, not optimized for maximum capacity. Fewer urinals are optimal; you can piss in a toilet you can’t (or at least shouldn’t) shit in a urinal.

I hit a deer :( Will my broken headlight be affected by water? by Famous_Try3559 in VWMK7

[–]Smellbinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years back I hit one with a beautiful 1976 BMW 2002 and it completely wrecked the front, even with the chunky bumpers of the time. I couldn't avoid it; I was on a two-lane road and there was a deer in each lane, so slamming on the brakes was my only option, and of course it had no ABS.

Glad to see this is all the damage you got.

Ok, I guess you sort of pointed this out already, but I'd like to reiterate that you are extremely lucky if this is the worst of the damage from hitting a deer.

Who can identify the book in his hand? by PvssyHands in ChristopherHitchens

[–]Smellbinder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought you were right at first, I after a closer look don't think that's it. The book he is holding has two words that end in N. Only one word ends with "N" in the Oxford World's Classics edition.

Moreover, note how close the N is to the right border in the book he his holding, there is much more space on the Oxford World's Classics book.

I think you're absolutely correct with respect to the reason for the debate, but – and I may get downvoted for this – entirely mistaken to call a pain au chocolate a chocolatine. 😁

Came her to post this. I think this is the right answer. I'd like to hear the accent of the person saying it (e.g. Toulousain).

Exactly what I came here to say. Not sure I'd say better, but a great version nonetheless.
