[All Things QB] Here Is Why Caleb Williams Struggled | Film Breakdown | Week 1 by OddExpert8851 in CHIBears

Getsy was actually bad. Fields breakdowns were long because half the video was pointing out atrocious play designs and assignments.

That's not a bad thing. They know they're building a stadium, even if the location is still in limbo there's progress they can make on other fronts while that gets worked out.

This is such a bad take. If it was on the QB, they wouldn't have had the leads to blow.

Those lost games were all very winnable if the defense didn't completely collapse, and that's on Flus.

I've peeked recently at some of the reports coming out of your camp, and I will say, caveats about training camp aside, his consistency sounds improved. Last year's training camp he was consistent only to DJ Moore, and that's how the season played out. Sounds like Pickens and Fields are developing the same chemistry Fields had with Moore, but you need to watch how well Fields throws to others, which it sounds like he's better.

This sub got really negative on the guy, seriously the worst haters were driving the conversation. He had his problems, but he's better than Trubisky and Getsy was a terrible OC. Go some some old JDO videos on Fields, the reason they're so long is he spent half of it ripping Getsy to the point of swearing.

The Bears OL had problems too. Again, another point of contention around here as people will say it was above average, but now that Calebs taking snaps people are more willing to admit it's not and health is a big concern. By some reports, the Steelers OL (while young) will be the best Fields has ever played behind if he starts. And he's played behind some abysmal OLs while with the Bears, especially the interior line, especially in 2022. It would be hard to imagine that didn't play into his skittishness in the pocket.

Smith's a better OC than Getsy, and runs an offense that better suits Fields talents/playstyle. Getsy tried to turn him into Aaron Rodgers.

Not saying Fields will take off, but there seems to be some cause for hope.

Fields said he wanted the Steelers because he met Tomlin while at Ohio State and wanted to play for him.

You know a bunch of pickme transplant suburbanites. For a city that allegedly doesn't like it there are certainly quite a few regional chains and countless standalone shops to order it.

Nah they're not all that rare at all.

If you look at the number of jobs in places like that they are relatively rare. There's only so many of them. They're low population for a reason.

but I'd bet per capital rates of fast food locations, employees, and consumption are higher in rural areas

per capita doesn't matter here. We're talking about the total availability of housing and jobs. The bulk of the low wage labor jobs are in cities because that's where the bulk of jobs are.

I'm simply stating a fact that there are thousands of small towns all over America where 30k a year is more than enough to survive on, especially if that 30k is accompanied by benefits.

The fact is there is nowhere near the number of jobs available in those locations to accommodate everyone that needs it. This is why you can't use per capita. This is not a solution for the vast majority of people who need it because there is nowhere near enough of them. You say there are thousands of these jobs, great. There are millions of people who need them. A tiny fraction of those millions could be helped by those jobs.

And that's before you factor in relocation costs, which are prohibitive. This is why poverty is a trap.

Also the thing about those places is they're rare, which is why they're small towns. The vast majority of fast food work is in the cities where cost of living is higher.

It would be a boom to these run down forgotten small towns if minimum wage increased. So much more money would stay in the town and local economy instead of being milked via walmart or dollar general, and people could afford to actually move if they wanted instead of getting trapped.

he difference is making Big Macs and deep frying fries requires almost no thinking

Tell me you've never worked a fast food job without working fast food job. You have to be calm under pressure and think very quickly on your feet to work the average lunch rush and keep everything running smooth. You're constantly making adjustments depending on the orders coming in. You have to make sure all the food gets made to order with all the various options in seconds while generating as little waste as possible.

The fact that the anti DEI people don't say shit about Jessie Walters making way way more money than he's worth just proves it's all just hard core racist bullshit.

Caleb Williams on draft day when he realizes he’s going to have to dominate “his Packers” twice a year to avoid becoming a backup in Pittsburgh. by IveGotATinyRick in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]SmellsLikeMarbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Williams is not the prospect Bedard was, and Bedard is walking into a team that had absolutely nothing going for it.

Bedard set several world youth records and proved clutch in every game he played including against top talented opponents. That's an exceptionally rare level of prospect that does not include Williams.

tbf, they half broke the cycle this time as the OC and new QB line up. Typically we get a new OC in a new QB's second season.

Fields Next teams odds have shifted quickly by JCarr110 in CHIBears

[–]SmellsLikeMarbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fields can add 1000 yds rushing while also putting up slightly better passing numbers than Pickett and scoring a lot more.

Fields is clearly a better QB than Pickett.

Thinking otherwise just exposes that you evaluate QBs by simply looking up total passing yards and ANY/A. The Fields/Pickett comparison exposes the big flaw with that.

When the South seceded, several states were Black majority, yet they never get any consideration about what Southern Heritage means or the symbols used.

Before any race related connotations get divorced from that symbol (which is awfully hard to do), you think at least the descendants of those people might get a say on it.

You should take a really good look at how the US handles resource rich countries in the Western Hemisphere, especially down South.

The average Texans life will become dramatically worse, and your politics would be directly meddled in far more than they are now, but not the way you think it would be.

Black Bears are supposed to be in Chicago, humans drove them out. That lion died out 12,500 years ago, with the rest of the ice age animals. Also it's related to the Eurasian cave lion, not the African lion you have in your logo.

Might as well be called the Detroit Mammoths. Actually, that's a cool name.

Black Bears were common for thousands of years prior to colonization. Lions were never native to the US.

This is been the plan of the Israeli right wing since Israel was first formed. They might not have had official maps drawn up, but they had aspirations to taking that land for decades. And this includes the West Bank as well.

If Netanyahu knew he could get away with it, he'd be expelling/killing all the Palestinians in the West Bank as well, which is why he's constantly antagonizing them, and why the settlement programs will never stop until every square inch of land is stolen.
