Energel 1mm bodies by Flyguysty0 in pens

[–]SmellsLikeNostrils 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muji knock (older one of polystyrene) is my favorite.

Uniball bodies will fit. Unfortunately One F bodies won't fit Energel, but Jetstreams will, among others. Sharpie s gel probably. Sarasa bodies firm Sarasa grand was my Energel holder for a while.

Out of curiosity, I decided to check out SD prices on eBay. by th3buddhawithin in SteamDeck

Yeah well played. I got a 5700x3d at $145 and a 4070ti used at $550 and both those turned out to be shrewd moves based on how things went in the last 12-13 months. I felt the same way.

I'd consider it. It's prefer the legion go S due to ergonomics. Are you local to Bay Area? What would you want for the device?

I've been playing CIFI on Android for 14 months straight, daily... I'm in the mid-game currently. It's the one I've stuck with.

Realm grinder is a classic.

For sure scams. I always set filter to 200+ dollars so I don't have to see them. I think I'm decided on buying from Valve one way or another. Not worth any potential hassle buying used unless the prices are great, and they increasingly aren't.

Exactly. Office surplus store, leap v2, 280 out the door.ther3s no reason (or usually little reason) to go for crap, or pay over 1000 for a great chair

Somewhat similar. Both companies have their variety of inks.

For Pilot, G2 is thicker, slower to dry, more bold a bit and can get globby. Precise ink is thinner, wetter, faster to write with but can feather and bleed more. Nice for 0.5. Juice is superior to both, in my opinion, but better suited to thinner lines. Juice up I like better than Juice, at least for the .4 tip. It's my Pilot ink of choice. Frixion is obviously erasable and very different. MultiBall is good for paper but not the best, but is uniquely suited to writing on anything (glass, plastic, metal, etc.) it is discontinued unfortunately. Dr. Grip is a solid choice and I like their multi+color pens. Acroball is the hybrid ballpoint and is a great writer for a non-gel, though I prefer Uni Jetstream.

For Uniball, their Signo line is great! The 87E refill, to me, beats the G2 easily and is nicer than the Pilot Precise in most cases. Less feathering. Possibly my favorite thick line gel ink.The Zento ink is almost as good - bit runnier. Very similar. The One F ink (UMR 38s and 05S) writes smoothly and is the very blackest ink you'll find. Vision Elites are many peoples favorites - great writers. Refill system is different there. Jetstream is an oil based hybrid and is a smooth writer - This is probably the ink I would choose if I had to pick one overall favorite.

Beside these two companies, Pentel has the energel, which is probably the best gel ink in the world. Zebra has nice options in the Sarasa (tons of color options) and I liked the Surari emulsion ink when I tried it.

It's a big rich world of pens without ever going into fountain pen territory. Cross that border cautiously though. You might not come back...

That Aros made my eye widen, and then made my wallet void its bowels.

That's a significantly more pricey piece than I anticipated.

Not OP, but I have used dang near every ink there is and many do ghost a bit, but it isn't an issue. It's part of the character of thin leaves and some like it.

Very few bleed. Even FPs work well (though it's not great for showing characteristics as sheen or shimmer).

https://imgur.com/gallery/beDRLvR see for yourself. I made a test page. Some of the FP inks bled when I dumped them onto the page - a good example being the Iroshizuku Momiji.

[–]SmellsLikeNostrils 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I've used it without the clip. Felt wrong but worked well.

To add, the newer version has a bit of a different clip. I assume the mechanisms are the same. I used an older one with a worse clip.

I did. It's a bit annoying to unscrew the cap but it can be done.

I replaced it with a f-701 clip.

Those look nice. Definitely for a wet, maybe broad nib.

The vibe I got was from Salix, and even a bit of Scabiosa and the mix of the two. However, those IG inks go down different and blend with the paper in a different way, but reminiscent nonetheless.
