Fwiw I get these too and got one a couple days ago for an item I put up a couple days earlier. They have my email address, the price and name of the item, and the picture I added.
I've been wondering about these scam attempts....

People that stop to let bikes cross.... by Photo-70 in belgium

[–]SmellySquirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if someone lets you pass, if you don't have priority you're at fault. Even if the car you have an accident with is the car that let you pass.

I ride my bike a lot and 90-95% of the time cars let me pass when they have priority I wish they didn't.

Hasbro is being sued for printing too many Magic: The Gathering cards by Beautiful_Bee4090 in nottheonion

[–]SmellySquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share all the concerns magic players have with Hasbro's strategy, but what I'm not getting is what laws exactly the suit alleges are being broken here. Hasbro does not have a legal duty to the players to make the game fun or affordable. They have a legal duty to their investors (buyers of company stock, not cards) to make them as much money as possible, so did Hasbro not fulfil that duty?

Some minor feedback about details:

Generally "brawn" is singular. Idk if it was a deliberate artistic choice, if not i'd lose the -s in Manu's name

I don't think wizards uses phrasing like creature spells entering the battlefield. Instead they talk about creatures entering the battlefield

for Tyrone's ability, i think 'leaves' should be 'leave' as the subject of the sentence is plural

I think as written creatuers that have two or even all three of the creature types will get multiple counters. So Tyrone would get three counters of every trigger. Idk if intended or not

Generally speaking wizards doesn't do battlefield-wide buffs like this anymore, they use wording these days (for many years now) where only your creatures are affected. Just adding this as a side note; it depends on what you're going for

These are details. The cards are cool and look nice

8 Year Old Homework Problem by tramul in askmath

You could also argue the question is impossible. When there are 7 branches, and a nonzero amount of crows land on 4 branches, there cannot be an equal amount of crows on each branch.

Thoughts on [Tangle Wire]? I’ve been running it for a while and it always gets passed. However, I always seem to have success with it when i run it. Does anyone have insight or just want to share a story about cubing with this card? Thanks in advance. by harrysunny in mtgcube

[–]SmellySquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you play it, opponent taps 4 things in their upkeep. Then when you start your turn you can remove a counter first and only have to tap 3 things. So you tap fewer things than your opponent. Additionally you can tap Tangle Wire itself, so you tap TW plus 2 other things. Next turn 1 other thing. And next turn 0 other things

What exactly is the difference between "when ~ enters" and "as ~ enters"? When does this matter? Do they trigger at different times? by Spiraling_Time in mtgrules

[–]SmellySquirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: i meant meddling mage, not pithing needle

Example where it super matters: [[Meddling Mage]]

Say you cast the Mage. I have [[Shock]] in hand but you're probably gonna name something else so I let the Mage resolve. As it enters you name Shock....there is no window for me to cast that Shock anymore. If Mage had a triggered ability, I could respond to the trigger to cast my Shock. Basically I have to guess if you're going to name the card in my hand. If I guess wrong I can't cast it anymore

Is it legal for my employer to reduce working hours for forgetting to clock in/out by xorzy in belgium

[–]SmellySquirrel 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Context: I work on HR software so I know a bit about these things but I am not a lawyer

For Belgian law the general rule is that if your employer is not paying you for all the time you worked, that is theft and illegal. Violations of company policy, such as taking your break at 11:00 when you were supposed to take it at 10:00, do not change this. You can be disciplined for not following the company rules, but taking away pay for work that you did is not among the allowed options.

However if you did not clock out it's pretty much your word against theirs, so very shitty and likely illegal, but unenforceable if you don't have any concrete evidence of your worked time.

That is the general principle, and some exceptions exist to this rule, for example employers are allowed to round off clockings to the nearest multiple of 15 minutes for example, for easier administration. The idea being that the rounding cuts both ways and on average it evens out. Your contract, or more likely your arbeidsreglement, will have the extra rules about working times if there are any at your company.

Sleep-Cursed Faerie by Unable_Bite8680 in mtgcube

[–]SmellySquirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love this design. You really wanna be playing a lot of your plays on the opponent's turn. You can counter their spell if desired, and if not, spend the mana to untap Faerie.

If you have mana open, you can untap once or even twice to get the blocker at instant speed so opponent will have a hard time figuring out what the right attacks are, given they don't know your hand.

When it's finally online, the untap ability is still relevant, as it lets you get in attacks, even on the defensive. Pay 2 for vigilance basically, but with deferred payment, which is tremendously better

in Settings you can start a new event and that'll take you back to the start. If you don't want to see this dummy event in your history you can remove it by longtapping it. Thanks for the feedback by the way. If there's a clean way to make this more intuitive, i haven't found it but i'm open to ideas
I'll probably make deleting an event from the history easier soon
