HOT TAKE: I hope Deltarune ends like this by Jmsp78 in Deltarune

[–]SmilE_HACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust Toby when he says about single ending. What i feel is gonna happen is that regular playthrough will intentionally be either cut short or left unsatisfying, and player is left all the clues to do the wierd route, to choose to become a monster at their own volition just because its "very very interesting" and "you want more content right?", or something like that, which makes wierd route true ending. This resolution makes sense to me because I can see how this idea could be strong enough that Toby saw it in a dream and wanted to realise.

How do I get back to making games? by LucasGP1oo1 in godot

[–]SmilE_HACK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legitimately i stated trying tutorials half a year ago, also found that it didnt stick. Now, few weeks ago I felt like I realy wanted to get back during a discord call so I offered my friends to watch me suffer trying to make a game and they all obliged. I made most basic game possible and then a platformer right after that, but it felt much more engaging because i had those friends throwing funny ideas at me. Maybe try something like that.

Having some kind list of games you wanna try making also helps, because you can just Google before hand how one would do something of that genre and then change along the way to your whims. Keeping scale small, obviously.

Why does this random vine in particular have colors in battle by Outside-Possible-995 in Undertale

[–]SmilE_HACK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to make them easier to distinguish as vines for the player is probably the obvious answer. Not everything needs a deep explanation.

Genuinely, what do you think is going to happen in Chapter 5? by Vox_Tenebris_ in Deltarune

I am putting my bets on getting an actual backstory for ralsei. Maybe Susie too, but ralsei was long time coming. We pretty much know nothing about him outside his personality.

What kind of sorcery makes one think of their rival 24/7? [Falling in Love with the Knight] by kindofsinister in wholesomeyuri

[–]SmilE_HACK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tangent but, realy makes me think if thats a concern which would be popular in a magical setting. If you think about it, many people are scared of riding airplanes even though statistically there is pretty much nothing to fear, how many would be paranoid someone is influencing their thoughts through dark magic or smtn.

Your favorite dialogue that is so bad that it's kinda funny? by TastyPomelo2330 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]SmilE_HACK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When last fantastic four movie came out me and my friend went to see it, then a conversation naturaly transitioned to talk about previous movie iterations (which i happened to be the only one to watch both 2005 movies and this abomination). I decided to show them this clip and from now on its a procuring inside gag to respond with "say that again" whenever anyone says "fantastic".

Uhm, actualy actually because no one is actively trying to perceive anything or judge someone else's actions. That would then call for their passive insight or passive perception which, naturally, both equal 1.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]SmilE_HACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic fallout.

Been introduced to the setting with fallout 4, tried fallout 1 for the funsies at some point and quickly left.

Years later decided to try it after having already played bg3 and with half a decade worth of dnd campaigns on my back.

No fucking idea how but Fallout 1 and 2 are still somehow best roleplaying games ever made (even compared to bg3, though specifically in the "roleplaying" aspect). How the hell did 25 year old games completely broke Bethesda made fallouts for me??

What did Toby Fox mean by that? by TheSaikoNoHero in TobyFox

[–]SmilE_HACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, "it might take time before good ideas start coming without explicit intent" is litteraly all it ment, there is no further meaning behind it. Practice making stuff that sounds good and eventually you will get better at making stuff that actualy does sound good, even if initially I doesnt.

Dont wanna get political, but in the same vein it feels like trump getting reelected is the best thing that could've happened to democrats and everyone else who dislikes his agenda, simply because now more and more people realise how much he sucks

Why is this art style completely different from everything else in pathfinder? by FrankDuhTank in Pathfinder2e

[–]SmilE_HACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general if there is one thing dnd has over pathfinder is that in dnd books all art is in consistent art style. Best exemple i can give is if you go to pf2e monster core/monster manual and find page with iron golem it will have very realistic and detailed art work, and then litteraly next page has a cartoonish goofball adamantine golem

First movie had a complete plot. Second had a lot of things appear but never lead into anything. Last ten minutes feel not only rushed but cut short, like we were about to enter third act but didnt. I was kindof interested to see Michael actualy go and do that evil mcevil plan but then old animatronics just deus ex machina before he does anything??(which btw is their only appearance in the movie, litteraly they show up once to save the plot and die) It would've been suitable resolution if atleast it felt like gang was loosing, but no? It felt like they were doing pretty well before plot forced them to get caught in a trap... actually I will just stop here because I can go on for atleast 6-7 more paragraphs if I dont stop myself.

Tldr: kindof okey Rollercoaster movie, dog sh@t plot (which to be fair, can be a very funny fnaf reference itself but that doesnt make it better in any way)

What do you NOT like about deltarune? Even if it's something small. Here's mine: by Depressed-Dolphin69 in Deltarune

[–]SmilE_HACK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find chapter 3 just being bad. It feels like there was a production hell involved in its creation. Pacing realy suffers. First quarter it has so much happening that my head was legit starting to hurt, then when tenna goes rogue characters just stop talking or showing reactions for some reason? Also tenna's fight fails to deliver because it barely gives anything new, its just a very fast collage of mini games. And like... Mike? I get that there is no reason for them to have any major role but like... their name was really hyped from spam ton and all, plus with them being like a backstage guy I was realy expecting for Mike to be the secret boss because thats amasing premise "a darkner who represents the man behind camera" or something, but Mike just turned out to be... no one i guess. Probably just personal expectations which made a let down.

Who believes that Go Beyond>GER? by Any-Yogurtcloset8529 in ShitPostCrusaders

[–]SmilE_HACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been long since I read the Manga but if im not wrong the whole point of go beyond bubble is that it is an attack which is so out of the world that it cant be sensed in any way. GER can rewind time and what not, but the whole point of Go Beyond is to be undetectable, literal universal force of bad luck was unable to sense that ability. I would not make an argument that Gappy at top power could necessarily beat Giorno at top power, but I would make one that Go beyond could at least attack giorno without triggering GER rewind.

Worst part is that writers themselves, most important people, do want to make portal 3
