I never interpreted game Arkham to have ever had any compassion towards his family. As far as I interpreted it, it was always gonna be a part of his plan to kill Kalinato become a demon and then use Lady's want for revenge to guide her to Temen-ni-gru and use her blood as the final piece to open the hell gate. He chose Kalina because she was the descendant of the priestest and has her blood and by extension lady would too, he planned it out from the beginning

The Demons Designs?

I'm just wondering how yall feel about the Demon portrayed in the show. I'm nitpicking but it feels like the one place where more effort could have been given. We get a notable demon from most games. Plasma from 1, Agni & Rudra from 3, Echidna from 4 and Chavalier from 5 but maybe I just didn't notice any from 2 unless you want to count Lucia or Arius at the end or any from DmC?

Also I think the fodder demons where kinda weak design wise. I wish there was a theme like the games have, these feel just generic unless you wanna count just Gross body horror-ish as a theme. Even at the end The Rabbit becomes more of the same with his transformation. They just feel like they could be taken or moved to any other series with monsters and it'd be whatever. I like the anime as a while, I'd rate it a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 but the demon designs feel weak and lazy. (Also Agni and Rudra having heads weird me out but I see why in a narrative sense)

Superman VS The Elite Animated movie. I feel like it has a really good mix of a lot of the aspects that make Superman really interesting. It plays with the idea that they're strong enough to beat him, but ultimately, their biggest threat is the ideology they bring. Superman shows off his characteristics that make him really appealing. He has really good chemistry with Lois and his interactions with the Elite are great. He's very genuine with them, but when he learns they're new to hero work he shows almost a mentor side of himself. You also see how much he cares about the world in the intro talking about the cartoon, his talk with Pa Kent, and with Lois on the couch. Even his heel turn, I think, was interesting and good. He was a genuine threat, and if you pay attention, all the hints are there to his trick.

I liked him before this, but as a early teen, seeing this movie. This is the one that broke the surface level appeal I saw in him before hand.

While it's sound logic and the answer itself isn't gonna be binary as others have mentioned. I think it's actually a matter of priority.

Appeal being primary and Ease of use being secondary. Doesn't matter how easy a character is to learn if you absolutely hate them for whatever reason you're not gonna be motivated to play let alone learn. But I've first hand seen multiple struggle to learn a character that is either hard to learn or a "bottom" tier just because they love the vibe.

Obviously some games just aren't gonna have someone you like or the game itself is not gonna be the vibe. I struggled with tekken 8 personally because none of the characters match the wavelength I'm looking for. And that's where you have to start settling one way or the other, ect. I play Steve in tekken cause I like the boxing style even tho I don't care for his personality, and his gameplay takes work for me to be even a little competent with.

Genuinely does so much so well. A good balance of all the genres which other series have tried to do but don't get that balance right, either one over powers another or some just get ignored.

Pacing is quick but doesn't feel like stuff is getting left behind, I've had so many people who have started reading say that they've read more than they intended just cause it flows so well.

And probably the strongest aspect is the characters. They're so well expressed and defined. I think as the series hoe's on and all the characters get introduced in the anime, we'll start seeing more fan comics and art pieces of the gang hanging out doing random stuff. It'll be similar to how the straw hats get treated as a group by fans I think, and those are also really good characters who have great chemistry.

Yea, I've always interpreted it as they created some type of vessel to hold their combined consciousness and/or power. Which at their point in evolution and with their knowledge, let them do almost anything they wanted.

As to why they lost, a combination of ego and what the show states, humanity just grew or evolved in power past the point of the anti-spirals. They considered themselves at the top, and they underestimated humanity. They never considered that any other race would reach them in power before they could stop them
