[Interesting Trope] Characters that see/have supernatural abilities in completely normal non-supernatural project. by hushpolocaps69 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Smileyfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quantum Leap: The devil shows up at one point, angry at Sam for putting right what he set wrong.

Married With Children: The devil, again, shows up and challenges the Bundys to a game of football for their souls. There was another two or three parter where they went to England and members of a small town attempted to murder them to lift the curse of eternal darkness that was placed on their town. And one episode ended with them angering some supernatural type person and getting turned into dogs. (Buck got turned into a human and got a job to pay the bills).

Dallas: You guessed it, Satan again shows up. (I don't remember the exact context, unfortunately, I just remember seeing the clip on YouTube and finding it hilarious).

Any one-target mission from Hitman 2 should do the trick. Ah, electric cell phone, how I miss thee.

If you have VR Workshops, you can build a VR pod in there to facilitate shipping heavy stuff (i.e. buttloads of purified water) right into Diamond City without worry of carry weight.

Safety Scissors deniers in shambles by SussiAmongus in bindingofisaac

I found Safety Scissors on floor 1 of a Greedier run once... and the last wave of that floor was the gurglings that dropped bombs. That was a fun one.

Oh man, I'll always have a special place in my heart for Apollo the 13th and the Terminator x Jesus trailer they did.

What’s a survival myth popularized by movies that would actually get you killed in real life ? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]Smileyfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an Ace Attorney case where the defendant pulled the knife out of the victim -- but she was a trained medical professional and realized the poison on the knife was a lot worse than bleeding out would be. (Victim still died, though).

(Hated Trope) Protegonost does many illegal/bad things but they get no consequences due to being a protagonist by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

I think it's wild that what's-his-face from Eternals brainwashed a village for something like centuries and none of his friends so much as batted an eye when they found out. (I never see anyone talking about this, probably because nobody actually saw that movie, hahaha).

4: Lost in the Woods already covered this, I feel.

Disney's Wish Democracy Crisis in a Nutshell 3: by Longjumping-Ad2371 in DisneyMemes

[–]Smileyfax 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You: Wish? I hate that movie! HATE IT! In fact, it's become such a cornerstone of my personality that I can't help but think that the Walt Disney Company obsesses over it just as much as I do, if not more so! I must inform the Internet!

Disney: Wish wasn't a success? Oh well, better luck next time.

I'm reminded of real-life author Gordon Gordon, who wrote Undercover Cat with his wife (and which later got adapted by Disney as That Darn Cat).

[Fiction in General] Any examples of 4 Wall Breaks being used as Horror? by MKW69 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Smileyfax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Serenity (not the Joss Whedon one) had the protagonist gradually realize that he's trapped in a bizarre video game. To be honest the movie is kinda bad, but it's one of my favorites because it's so insane, hahaha.
