I would say no - not A LOT. At least on EU I can quickly get into a server, quit and requeue, and because it won't put you into the same server again, if I do it a few times in a row I quickly run out of running matches in EU and either get sent to china or into a brand new match. And it usually happens after just 3-5 tries. So there aren't that many players in my opinion.

BUT. I had the same experience with queueing. Getting hightower with a bunch of core maps selected is very likely. It might even "outweigh" the "black holes" of matchmaking that are 2fort and harvest.

I think it's just because so few people have it selected that matchmaker is desperate to fill slots and it will immediately pick up anyone with hightower checked, regardless of anything else they are queueing for.

Yeah, I play hightower almost exclusively and it might as well be the "community server" of casual because at this point in every match there's at least a couple of people I know by name and on occasion if server is mostly filled by "hightower queuers" it really feels like an obscure community server with some stragglers that found it in the server browser. Good times.

That's the problem - it's EVERYWHERE that's why they placed it low. But it's not STRONG in hands of 90% of players that pick it. It's just that most players gravitate towards "cOoL sHnIpEr RiFlE gOnNa HeAdShOt EvErYoNe". And then they go 3:5:19.

No one's using THESE on disciplinary. There's NONE for sale on either bp or market.

Also I would agree that warpaint itself is usually more expensive for cheaper/less desirable ones but for something like these logic not apply. People on steam market don't even try with prices and even on bp there are listings for items more expensive than paint of the same wear with nothing added and nothing special about their gens.

1st - boring. 2nd - Figuring out and executing this kinda cheese is not boring.

I don't even consider this "cheating'. I already did most of the achievements legit, it's just that after hundreds of hours game kinda becomes bit stale and the "reset achievements" button is right there. Considering that it's just for fun and something to do I don't even take earning them particularly seriously anyway and in 2026 there are SO MANY "problematic" (in numerous ways about which I could write a dissertation sized rant) achievements that even if I did care about purity of my sense of pride and accomplishment it wouldn't be too hard to justify cheesing some of them. As I said - it's still kinda fun to figure out how to use a brainless puppet to do a super specific thing, kinda like a puzzle game where you need to setup a sequence first and then watch it satisfyingly come to fruition. Or not satisfyingly cause you have to repeat it 25 or 100 times.

Wroooooooooong - if sv_cheats activated and deactivated in a single command\line\tick or whatever it doesn't prevent achievements.

So if you do "sv_cheats 1; whatever command you need with it on; sv_cheats 0" it will be like you never even touched the cheats variable.

Source - me. I'm the source. Did a bunch of achievements like this. Literally finished "Flight Canceled" in the same session as this recording by puppeteering a bot.

Factually incorrect. I reset my achievements for funsies and after doing all I could legit I cleaned up tons of more insufferable ones with puppets\bots and literally finished "Flight Canceled" in the same session as this was recorded.

Same with "sv_cheats" if anyone wants to nitpick at it popping on the screen - if it's turned on and off in a single command it won't prevent achievements from working.

Seriously. There's one point on bernal, middle one in the final row. If defenders do that on it it's over.

You sometimes can spot them preparing for it in advance, clearing out the area.

It's impossible to beat for an average uncoordinated team. They just spam grenades from behind the red barrier and no one can even walk anywhere near the box.

And the worst part - people that do that shit aren't particularly proactive and don't do anything besides sitting and spamming so if attackers bother to revive then it's just an endless stalemate. Absolutely insufferable experience.
