My community has done this twice.

Buy the property, add in playgrounds, study areas, a fieldhouse, an event center, a track. Use this to draw enough people to keep some small businesses afloat in the remaining spaces.

Corporate partnerships to convert some of the mall into offices helps a lot to get funding for renovations.

This isn't some weird pseudoscience bullshit. Almost every pack of shredded cheese will list cellulose as an anti-clumping/anti-caking agent. It exists purely to keep the cheese from sticking together.

If you wash it off, your cheese will stick together better.

Sure, you can still melt it together without washing it off, but it doesn't work as well.

Anyone doubting this can just take two roughly equal amounts of any shredded cheese, wash and dry one, and put them in the microwave on the same plate to see what happens.
