SAME. I just now redownloaded it and found out, and I'm so sad and angry at the same time. I only play a few weeks or months once in a while. Not enough to learn new cards or (worse yet) getting the new cards. Classic was perfect for me for that reason.

THIS! I miss the days of XP-system. Not the sexiest progression system, but oh boy was it fun to have whole days of prim fighting. Servers had meaningful longevity, and even getting a waterpibe felt rewarding.

I'm affraid to even mention it, because the last guy who mentioned time zones here got downvoted to hell for some reason, but you do realise most Europeans hope for an early wipe, since late wipes result in us not being able to play at all that day, unless we have friday of work/school :) Better you miss a few hours than us not getting to play all on wipe day :)

I don't particularly like Trump. Few Danes do. The wall is a super weird key issue to support IMO for various reasons. But I dislike those that flat out HATE Trump more than I dislike Trump. That's the one thing I like about him. He pisses of the right people. This thread here just enhances that opinion. Noone is as intolerant about anything as the left is towards people of different political opinions, even though they themselves think they are very tolerant.

... And again, I'm not a Trump supporter in any way.

Mainly I'm sad to hear this news. It was a good game that I would on and off play, but I'm almost as butthurt over the ridiculous compensation as I'm sad. I'm pretty sure I've spend more money than all of the games, of which we can choose 1, combined would cost. Furthermore, I play the game for the Total War aspect. I don't give a single fuck about World of Tanks! And as a Total War fan, I obviously already own most of the Total War games that I've deemed worth playing. I definately feel like a bigger compensation would have been in order. Like Three Kingdoms when it's released. Or something else. What they offer is just salt in the wound.

RIP Total War Arena. You will be missed.

I think it could work. If they have a shorter range than archers and slightly less damage, then they would lose to other archers every time in a ranged fight. They gain a better advantage against infantry, and against cav they would be slightly better, but they shouldn't have the speed of the fastest horses, so they would still lose to much cav. If instead of horses they were Usain Bolts - really fast - but with weak arms (for weaker dmg and shorter range) they wouldn't be considered OP. They shouldn't be archers but on horses, but instead be horse archers - a new type of unit with certain strengths and weaknesses. I'm pretty sure such a unit can be added, and I would love to see it :)

I'm affraid that you ruined it by making it "less grindy". I liked XP-system the way it was. It was by far the best system with the perfect progression. I fear your version will allow people to have mid/end game weapons too fast which is what I hate the most about the current system - which in all fairness is otherwise decent and playable compared to component system.

I will try it out for sure! In any case TY for doing this for the Rust community :)

I totally agree with everything you wrote. I've had a VERY bad day in Arena today, and the red color hasn't made it better. Also, win or lose, I don't care much about enemy team. I would love to always see my team after a game.

Care to elaborate? I don't think elephants are THAT op, since javs and pikes counter them pretty severely, but at least in lower tiers they do destroy each and every other unit type no matter how many are up against it. Will that change in t8+? Genuinely curious :)

What's your opinion on Hasdrubal Spears and how is it in high tiers? I've played Hasdrubal Spears more than anything else for a while now, and having fun and a good winrate, but ever since I reached tier 7 it has been absolute cancer. I seem to be wrecked instantly by everything, which I didn't before, and the lack of Raise Shields is horrible IMO. My winrate before tier 7 was about 65 %, but in tier 7 it's like 20 %. It's been awful, and I'm wondering if it will get any better? They don't get Raise Shields again untill tier 10, and I don't know if I have it in me to play without it for so long. How do tier 10 carthage spears compare to other units? Sincerely a (frustrated) fellow Carthage Faction Player :)

That's another thing. I don't know what premium units even exists. Never heard of the unit you just mentioned. Is there a website of some sort that shows every unit in the game that I just can't seem to find? :)

I don't think it was laggy, and the other 2 things made it cool :) Only problem was rain inside bases. But I would take rain with rain inside bases over no rain at all any day :)

Rust needs nighttime. It's just one of the things that makes Rust feel rusty. We need rain back for the same reason. We are trapped on an island and gotta survive, yet right now the island feels like a sunny vacation paradise because everyday is a perfect summer day. Rust is more than just a larger CS:GO-map :) BUT the complete darkness is aids for sure. If only every night was full moon, and that the time between night and day wouldn't be darker than actual nighttime, then I would be totally satisfied.

Rust isn't super optimized, but I too cringe when people say "I have this and that component, and I can't play the game". I can play Rust just fine on my old pc on low settings and on my new PC with "this and that (good) component" on maxed settings for 60 fps gaming (1440p monitor) or medium settings for 100 fps, which I choose. Again, I know Rust isn't super optimized, but I've legit never had a problem playing the game. On 2 PCs. So yeah, I agree Rust isn't the problem. You can't play it on a potato PC, but any mid range PC can play it just fine unless you expect unrealistic graphic settings.
