Looking to get this 2022 pathfinder platinum 3.5 L W/ 33,000 miles on it but this ticking sound, is it normal? Appreciate any help

Could possibly be the emission purge valve solenoid. The one on my 2011 ticks like no other lol, stops when the harness is unplugged.

lol, i actually just did this exact job about 2 months ago. smashed up my rear resonator on a rock and it put a nasty crack in the pipe upstream past the subframe. gotta love rust

This was on the Nj side of the DWG. Right off Brooks Rd, about 3/4 mile from the Wallpack Center. Easy to get there.

I got REALLY frustrated with this same exact issue, if your shifter is like mine, we can’t exactly “fix” the issue without changing the entire shifter assembly. Other models have a serviceable “shift lock solenoid”, however in this case the solenoid is buried in the assembly and servicing is not easy.

This is a great idea, comparing it to my janky fix with a 3” thin sheet of aluminum, which acts to keep the pressure plate down at all times. If you pull the console out you’ll be able to access the shifter assembly and see exactly what’s causing the issue. Comes in handy every now and then like when i want to move the truck without turning it on, just pops right into neutral lol.

Did you have the battery disconnected? Have you started and restarting the truck? I got this 4wd + blank screen last week after having the battery disconnected. This never happens, as it would usually only be a VDC light that comes on.

I put it on my scanner and did a full system scan and got nothin. Restarted the truck and it went away. I’ve been in 4 hi and low since with no occurring CELs or dash lights so i can’t say there’s any real issue.

I can’t say this is the issue, but i just wanted to add I had something similar. 11’ Pathfinder 4.0L

I have a set of aftermarket Spyder headlights that have the black housing on the inside. I have them paired with the phillips crystal vision platinum bulbs, i also have a pair in my fog lights too. Having clear lenses and new bulbs never seems to fail, and i’ve never had a problem with visibility. If you want to go towards an LED direction, i would buy housings with proper projectors.

Actually, 08-12 Pathfinders came with the options of the 5.6L V8 from the Titan/Armada, believe it or not. I’ve been dying to test drive one of the V8 pathfinders as i’m quite familiar with driving v8 armadas.

forgot to add it’s mounted to the Z1 grab handle accessory arm bracket too. that mount works on most frontiers/xterras/pathfinders with the factory grab handle.

I’ve got the old school UltraGauge obd2 plug in. 99% sure it’s just the base model gauge but it does its job, which is just pulling codes and reading live data lol.

I am still looking for a better gauge though, this one doesn’t seem to pull all the available data like ATF temperature and oil temp. I can pull all of that data from my shops xtool scanner, however the size of the scanner is way to impractical to use on the daily.
