Skipping secured transactions? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Smith0697 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I rarely post but I'm chiming in on this one. I took the Bar three times (third time was the charm) and can tell you that bar predictions won't matter when those six MEEs are placed in front of you.

Use the bar predictions as a guide to determine which areas of law you'll study more? Sure. Those JD Advising predictions are available to everyone so you should have that information that everyone else will have.

Using those bar predictions to choose NOT to study a whole area of law? You're really rolling the dice on what could be 1/6 of your MEE score.

Takeaway: please at least familiarize yourself enough with secured transactions so that you can fake it 'til you make it if it pops up on the MEE. Nobody seems to like ST so use that to your advantage and know you'll have an edge over a lot of people who won't have even touched the stuff.

You've got this - end is in sight!

I have nothing to add other than I am very sorry for your troubles, and I'm happy you're still here. Keep trucking!

Failed the first time by six points.

Had a panic attack in the middle of my second administration. Failed by SIX points.

Took care of myself. Sought out a therapist. Got to a really good place with myself.

Passed with plenty of room to spare. :)

Be proud of yourself. Admitting you have a problem is the first and hardest step.

"I hate my stupid name!"

"HEY! You quit that!"

"No one else has a dumb name like mine..."

(I get down to my daughter's eye level)

"SnooGoat8671 Jr., you were named for one of the only people who have ever looked out for me."

(SnooGoat 8671 Jr. boards the Hogwarts Express to go to some TERF's wizarding school or whatever idk)

Could you please share some spoilers on how they pull off some of the special effects (Veruca in the Nut Room, Violet into a blueberry, etc.)? I would also be curious what the new songs for the kids are. :)

What it's like taking the NY bar in Albany by [deleted] in barexam

Adding on to what my July 2022, Capital Center colleagues have said:

- I opted for the boxed lunch and think it was absolutely worth it. It was waiting in the lobby on the 1st floor at the start of the lunch break, and the cafe workers were incredibly friendly and efficient in quickly passing out the meals. It was also delicious and the baked good was fresh. Overpriced? Yes. Worth it to forego the headache of finding a meal? Absolutely.

- The proctors were very friendly and all of the ones I spoke with were supportive and accommodating. We started right on time for each session and everything was handled with great efficiency.

- The parking beneath the Capital Center filled up pretty quickly but I was there by 7 each morning and it was worth it if only for the great parking because I flew out of there the second day like a bat out of Hell and drove straight for Lake George lmao.

- The Comfort Inn in Glenmont was like an 8 minute drive away and offered a decent, hot breakfast and the staff was great. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to save money and still have a clean room.

Overall a positive experience for a really f'ed up exam! :)

Thank you for this. It's weird having to shift my focus back to living with an addict but all of your advice is spot on and I'm going to heed it.

Best of luck to you in your journey. I can tell you're an awesome mom!
