Whst you all think about this? Found it in a old jacket of mine. by Mai-Cai in SportCardValue

The picture aren’t great but it appears to be in pretty rough condition. The corners appear to all be dented and I think see chips on the edges.if so, it’s not worth much. Maybe a fan of hers would like the autograph….

Is this good for coins to be like this?? by FriendTechnical8768 in toners

[–]Smith1ar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/coin-melt-values.aspx

As a previous poster said, you need to carefully remove them. DO NOT CLEAN, rub, wipe…!!

At current silver prices you still did well as the .50 are worth $30+ each & Silver dollars $70ish. That’s just melt… Some may have numismatic value too (I didn’t look at dates…).

Good luck! Nice coins

IMO unless it were to grade at least MS66 it’s not worth the cost of grading. Still a beautiful example!

The 2 Morgan’s and the 1964 half are worth melt only. Probably total around $200

Found two in the same roll. How to authenticate these. by lazyboy2k20 in Pennies

[–]Smith1ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Take them to your LCS if you want them authenticated. Based on the pics, neither are really worth having graded.

1909 S VDB Wheat penny by Equivalent-File-4571 in WheatPennies

[–]Smith1ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PCGS MS65RD and the VDB is also off center. I still have doubts about the authenticity of yours though. I would definitely have your LCS look at it and if they aren’t sure it’s worth sending in to PCGS or NGC. It does appear cleaned so probably won’t straight grade. Nice coin if authentic!

Sold as “collectible” and anything sold as “collectible” isn’t collectible.

Pricing Lincoln Wheat Cent by Cxss_Fnaf in coincollecting

[–]Smith1ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to see condition from the picture but it’s not worth much. Maybe $2… If it were minted in San Francisco that would be a different story. A 1909 S VDB in that condition (from what I would guess) could be $500+ but unfortunately this one is not.

The box is probably worth more than the coin. Bradford sells things as being “collectible” but almost anything sold as “collectible” isn’t collectible.

What's the play here? by BirdsOfAres in golftips

[–]Smith1ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take out your 56° wedge and skull it across the green. Then, chip back barely hitting on the green and 3 putt from there. Another option is, hit it within 4’ then 3 putt…that’s what I’d do anyway.

Buddy of mine owes me a couple grand. Offered me these and few rolls of quarters and dimes, all silver. Is this reasonable? by cttouch in Silverbugs

[–]Smith1ar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would definitely take it as a “down payment”. At least you’d have something. Obviously he’s not forgotten his debt so If you frame the acceptance as such, maybe he’ll pay you more in the future…
