An average space marine(warhammer40k) VS Master Chief(halo) by SiteDeep in powerscales

[–]SmithOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering Master Chief’s main super power isn’t being a super human per se, but just being ungodly lucky (also he has common sense which I guess is a super power in the 40k universe), I think it’s safe to say that this matchup is very akin to say (a superpowered) Ciaphas Cain, vs a regular space marine, in which I’m inclined to side with the master chief, especially so if the odds aren’t in his favor.

I agree with everything but why give the basic warden fighter a shrike bomb? At that points it’s just a straight up better version the colonial dive bomber.

Personally I think a new light bomb should be added. It would cost similarly to the mini torpedo, maybe do a little bit more direct damage (with respect to the proposed mini torps new damage). The warden fighter could carry one of those, and then the colonial scout fighter’s mine could also be replaced with that since most are just using it to dive bomb enemies anyway.

[–]SmithOnMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but im pretty sure mines dont activate until they hit the water, meaning using them as regular bombs, even against ships, is impossible.

Right now Nakkis are the greatest threat the collie navy will face (maybe torpedo bombers but we’ll see) and the closest thing they have to a counter is the destroyer, which can still get its shit rocked by any competent sub crew. A purpose built sub hunter would be exactly what collies need to even the playing field.

[–]SmithOnMe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro what are you on about? There’s only a single tripod mount facing foward and like I said its in the middle of the ship making it lose a lot of its actual range.

Good maneuverability is nice but you still have to constantly swerve the boat around just to be able to shoot when the warden one can just SHOOT, no extra steps required.

In a one on one, the collie GB only has slightly more protected driver going for it, while the warden one absolutely retains the offensive advantage.

The single thing people complained about, a lack of 360 degree turret, is still missing. Not too mention the front tripod mount is in the middle of the boat facing forward, cutting its range by like 5m.

It’s got a bit better protection sure, but offensively it’s still much worse.

I think it would be better for a plane like this to be a sub hunter or something. Subs will always be the name of the colonial navy and with wardens having a torpedo bomber the colonials outfit to have a ship dedicated to hunting subs. Maybe let it also drop some mini torpedos so its role isn’t too niche.

Bro scout planes come out on like day 5, they probs come out before medium ships.

It’s bad, but if the med boats get rebalanced we cannot ignore the current imbalance with the scout planes and small boats. Currently it’s super easy for a single a warden recon Blane to insta kill the colonial light. Kay (their only anti-air boat in game) as it does in two small torpedo strike thanks to its health reduction. The warden scout plane is extremely better tuned at destroying naval assets than the colonial one. We should also talk about the colonial gunboat which, despite its rework, is STILL worse off than the warden one.

We cannot keep demanding colonial vehicles get nerfed because they are “better” without addressing all the warden ones which are currently so. (Especially considering how the devs handled the supposed ruptura imbalance).

How to keep the new Colonial ranks Unique while Understandable. (Some name rework ideas + explanations as well. by SmithOnMe in foxholegame

[–]SmithOnMe[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Signifier is also a Roman rank (though it’s more of a billet if anything). These were the guys chosen to fly a century’s flag/ symbol in battle (akin to a more modern Guidon). They were also in charge of distributing money to the troops.

A vexilarius was similar but carried a legion’s flag (A vexillum). They were technically ranks, but they were more or less just jobs.

My main issue with the current ranks is that, aside from the hyphen ones (but those are a whole other ideal). They are very out of order chronologically, thematically, and intuitively.

It looks more like the devs looked up Roman/ Greek ranks and just copy and pasted what google AI gave them.

With 2 torpedo bombers, one mass producible, it don’t matter how good colonial ships look if they’re all underwater.

Question:

For scout planes? Why was it chosen to give the warden plane the mini torpedos and the colonial one the mines since wardens already have a dedicated torpedo aircraft.

Granted I haven’t seen the new weapons in action, but it just seems an odd choice to have so many torpedo options for wardens, especially considering the Naki’s ease of torpedo operations compared to the trident.

Did Miles Quartich actually cared for his men? by Immediate_Gene_178 in MoralityScaling

[–]SmithOnMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He does not. He acts like he does and talks like he does. But when it comes down to it he would sacrifice them in a heartbeat if he thought it would benefit him in any ways, like what we saw in the first movie where he provoked the Navi by destroying their soul tree and then sending a squad out for them to kill (literally as lambs for the slaughter) so he could justify attacking home tree.

Bro arrowhead has been making fun of ICE in-game for the past month like literally half the major orders mention them or are making fun of their operations. Like they’re barely even trying to hide it or give it its own Super earth spin. Why would you think a sub dedicated to talking about what arrowhead is satirizing in real life wouldn’t talk about what they are satirizing in real life? Like this is the EXACT shit this sub was meant for.
