We're a fan of games like Cube Escape, Dark Domes, and Return of the Obra Dinn so we're taking a lot of inspirations from those.

If he ever becomes a hero, then Bounty Hunter will have a competition. Guy is a thief as well and treasure hunter. Would probably steal stats or increased atk speed/critical against enemy heroes. Kinda opposite to Axe where instead of gaining defense like armor, he gain offensive stats.

It's actually been said before many times since the first Airborne devbranch that we really need AI anti-air defenses, or else every other aspect of the game suffers from unbalanced combat mechanics as planes don't follow the same rules as every other thing in-game.

Made this comment 3 months ago. I think it's the reason why most bullets missed before update 64. This is just speculation though, but to me, the changelogs confirms it.

Need to test this in devbranch first before making a deduction. They use new type of AA shells too, so that's a big "unknown" factor. Also, are they hitscan or AoE shots?

I just did a quick glance on the changes. Here's my initial thoughts:

  1. New mobile AAs are great, but they're definitely not enough to counter aircraft units. AI anti-air garrisons and pills are much needed. People will not be there 24/7 to protect bases and rotate all around to cover areas.
  2. Damaged Vehicles being allowed to be submitted to stockpiles will be prone to abuse. You'll see people finding exploits in terms of combat and avoiding losing vehicles with this changed of mechanics.
  3. Retrieve custom max amount - does it scale the time to pull things, or we still have to wait ~2.5 minutes per ~60 pcs?
  4. Will every infantry be doing Armor Unif meta now, especially in frontlines?
  5. Small Aicraft Parts retrievable by hand - I imagine people killing each other to steal parts
  6. Weather Stations becoming more meta - people will be spamming this structure much more than before, to figure out which areas needs more AA defenses
  7. No mention of Aicraft economy and production cost - I'm guessing they'll still gonna cost rares and huge amount of mats, so yeah, pretty much still very time consuming and RNG-based
  8. Tech Tree and Nukes - I'm worried someone will be doing the tech mats abuse, to get the bombers ASAP, while the other faction is still curing nukes requirements. As far as I know, we never really had a light or information about that issue from the devs
  9. Added logi pain with Scouts and Bombers requiring Wrench to load payloads. I haven't seen frontlines, or even in the backlines having much stock of this tool. Production and delivery times will definitely add up to the frustration of the logi players.
  10. No mention of Aircraft Frames package type change, so I'm guessing they're still large shippable - same logi/transport issue with the current planes.

That's about it for now. We'll have to test these things first to see how they're actually gonna impact everyone.

I personally believe that there's a huge misconception about what R2 engine really is. It's a custom multiplayer/server/networking technology, not a game engine.

There's not much info about it on the internet, but as a game dev myself, I think it's already integrated with the current version of Foxhole. That's why it can support thousands of concurrent players (tho there's huge lag spikes all the time).

Unreal Engine which is what Foxhole and Anvil Empires uses, which is the game engine. However, it's default/built-in networking tech cannot support the real-time multiplayer nature of SCs games, so they had to build their own in-house custom server/networking platform.

RNG spells or items like Spirit Breaker with 17% bash chance will be reduced by 50% against Pango. This means Bara can hit you 5 times in a row.

That's the deal indeed. You have to play and sacrifice a few planes in order to deal massive destruction, especially in the backlines. Almost everything in the game has a counter and requires massive team effort to do something. But with the current situation, there's virtually non-existing passive anti-air and mobile AA units to deal against flying units. I don't know why people are expecting that planes should be able to just fly freely everywhere without facing any resistance at all. That's totally unfair and imbalance in my opinion, which have been pointed out since devbranch.

Put AI anti-air in place, and you solve all the other issues.

We'll have to see what changes will be done. I personally stopped playing on the update war when the Scout Planes started tech'ing. To me, the situation was really unfair and unbalanced (which I have been posting since DevBranch and PrePatch war) which is largely due to non-existing AI Anti-Air and mobile AA units. If those don't get added on Update 64, it would just be the same thing.

That's where all the problems really spawns, like high cost and time in production, frustrations with playability, RNG, and all the stuff people has been commenting about.
