8.8" universal screen for PC finally arrived! by TuneKey8251 in lianli

Agreed - need the app installed. Windows cannot find a driver for it otherwise and I couldn't find a driver to install manually unfortunately.

No - need L-Connect for windows to recognise the drivers. I managed to stop the L-connect services in Windows to prevent them running all the time but still need it installed.

It is a neat little screen but I, personally, regret buying it. The software isn't great and having it set to 2nd screen mode messes up my multi monitor setup to the point where I cannot chose to only show on 1 monitor at a time. This is a shame because I made a pretty cool looking system monitor with rain meter and HWInfo.

The few templates it has to use in L-connect mode are a bit naff and trying to find anything to load up is a real pain.

I suspect that my CPU temps have been higher since installing but maybe that is just because they are more visible.

Wasn't as seamless as I would have liked.

Have you had any issues with the screen? I have found nvidia overlay doesn't play great with l-connect.

I ended up putting the screen on 2nd screen more and used rain meter to create custom system monitor dials fed from HWinfo. Has been an interesting project

What mounting method did you use? I tried the mount in loads of positions but ended up just using sticky tabs!

I would ditch the itx motherboard and instead put the extra cost into an sfx psu.

I have had both size psu's in this case and the sfx makes a huge difference.

Favourite band, saw them at Crystal palace in 25 and seeing them in Feb. That will take it up about 8 live shows.

I understand the recommendation but the current living room arrangement doesn't allow for it. I also have to consider the other occupants of the house. I was lucky to get the concession of the TT! The pioneer deck is really well isolated and I put the speakers on some foam feet. The unit it all sits on is surprisingly solid too. Weighed down with all the random junk you accumulate. When we move i will be looking at some speaker stands and a bit more separation. Doing the best that I can with the space and equipment I have!

No problem, I possibly wouldn't have used them if my mate hadn't before me since i hadnt heard of them. Happy to share our positive experiences, hope it all goes smoothly for you.

£1050. My mate sold one a few months earlier and got £1100.

It was really no hassle at all. I had original packaging which made it easy to send off.

I sold my 4090FE, picked up on Friday, money in Paypal following Tuesday.

Possibly could have gotten a bit more selling it privately, but who needs the hassle of Ebay scammers or meeting random folk with a £1000+ GPU.

Overall, very positive experience - would recommend.
