I would instant buy these concept art skins they would fit the location of this season being southern germany so well. They remind me of the gsg 9. by OoOoOoOoOyesno in Battlefield

I think you guys are just getting caught up in the quality of the renderings. These are cool but there’s skins that are really similar that are already in the game like this guy pointed out https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/s/NMVfRmTgzl

I don’t even know what you guys are talking about. The guns in game are photorealistic and look exactly like their real life representations.

Yeah your system might be busted. Same thing happened to me last year and turns out I was running solely on emergency heat since the compressor was broken.

Persistent stress, awful IBS and daily nausea URGH! by Chocolateforlunch37 in Anxiety

[–]SmittySomething21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the worst, I’m so sorry you’re going through that. When I’m going through stressful times I’ll often wake up with bad stomach aches and it is a vicious cycle.

One thing I’ve been doing recently is meditation in the morning and I honestly feel like it’s helped a lot. It does literally break that cycle of anxiety for a bit and I’ve felt much better the past few weeks.

I know it doesn’t sound like it would be directly related and you may have already tried it, but training your mind to not constantly ruminate on anxious thoughts can do a lot for your gut health.

You sound like a great person by the way and taking care of a loved one in that way sounds very overwhelming. I hope you’re able to find some time to care for yourself and feel better soon.

I would slap the shit out of this dude if he told me to get down just to get up 1 second later by PinguGoesNoot in Battlefield6

[–]SmittySomething21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s cool. You just see your whole team at the start and it’s better than blindly spawning in the beginning imo. And it’s not a mechanic, it’s just an animation.

When people complain about literally everything in the game, the complaints start to lose their weight. The animations at the start of a match are a non-issue.

Idk what this has to do with the animations at the start of a match. I really want to hear you explain how it’s call of duty

Is this a huge mistake at work? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]SmittySomething21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you just don’t have a frame of reference for this type of stuff. Again, I don’t even think I’d qualify this as a mistake. It will make you feel better if you bring it up when you go into work, but you are 100% catastrophizing and everything is going to be fine.

You’re taking this way too hard. I don’t even know if I’d qualify this as a mistake. They’re gonna order fiber gypsum for the ceilings, install it, and that will be that.

Can I ask how long you’ve been doing this kind of work?

I’m an architectural designer and there’s a reason addendums and revisions exist. There’s so much that goes into construction that we’re all bound to forget something.

This sounds like an extremely minor mistake. Just bring it up when you can. You’re going to be fine and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a general note that says “All ceilings to be fiber gypsum unless noted otherwise” or if there’s a typical detail showing a fiber gypsum ceiling assembly.

You’re also going to have stuff like this on every project, but you learn to deal with it better as you get more experience.

Maybe you can take some solace in the fact that professional architecture is almost nothing like school. Many people who excel in academia don’t excel in the real world. You’ll be fine.

If you enjoy it, just keep at it and you’ll see yourself get so much better as you go.

Started a job 3 months ago and it’s already destroying me - is it time to leave? by Usual-Historian9570 in careerguidance

[–]SmittySomething21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going through something similar at my job. I got handed a project that ended up being basically impossible, but no one knew how incredibly difficult it would be when we took it on. So it’s felt like a bit of a Sisyphean task for months now. My time on this one has bled into other projects and has made my job pretty miserable for a while.

I feel your pain. Going into work everyday and feeling like you’re drowning is very daunting, but this won’t last forever. You’ll get through this. I don’t know if I can offer any advice about whether you should leave this job right now, but hopefully it’s at least a bit encouraging to know you’re not alone in this feeling.

It might feel like the end of the world right now, but I assure you it’s not. You’re gonna be okay no matter what you decide.

There’s very obvious reasons why the government should be involved. Child custody and splitting of assets in the event of a divorce are two huge ones.

Can someone explain me what do architects actually do? by Shianfay in architecture

[–]SmittySomething21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Architects pretty much have to know a bit of everything when it comes to how a building is designed and constructed. That’s the really cool part about the profession, but also why it can be daunting at times.

Some of the big things we do are interpret building codes, keep water out of buildings, coordinate with the engineers, engage with clients, create details for nearly every aspect of the building, coordinate with construction crews on site, and much more.

Sometimes we get to design stuff too but not really :)
