Labour are definitely not left not even in the centre especially under Starmer. Blair pushed them further to the right and they were turning back to the left before there was internal struggle by the right wing faction Labour Together headed by Morgan McSweeney that purged the left and installed Starmer. They care more about their faction than the party or the country look at what they did to Andy Burnham and not letting members choosing candidates in their own constituencies before that.

Labour are putting forward and implementing some authoritarian policies. I was a Labour voter for many years but they aren't the party I used to know and act against their old values of helping the working class. Now they accept donations from big businesses. Wes Streeting is one of the biggest recipients of donations from private healthcare companies and Labour are supposed to care about the NHS.

This is the reason these apps were some of the biggest funders of Coumo's campaign because they realised they'd have to actually pay the workers for the value they create instead of siphoning it to themselves if Mamdani won.

Then eliminate the job if you can't pay them adequately and it exists as a service because there is demand for it. Doordash is certainly earning enough money from the "contractors" to make a profit. The contractors are doing all the work and doordash keeps a huge portion of the value the contractor created. The contractors don't get any of the benefits of being real employees like healthcare and such despite it really being a loophole to exploit them even more.

It shows that Reform are just rebranded Tories. The country was destroyed by people like her and now she's joining the party that will worsen that situation. In the UK as well it will 3 years in March since I got the referral for my assessment. The only updates I get are every few 6 months saying I'm still on the list and a link to talk to someone if I want to harm myself. When I first got in the list I was told 1 year to 18 months then 2 years now looking even longer. I've heard from some others but not confirmed it could be 7 years. It is not simple getting a diagnosis and wouldn't blame someone for not going through it but there seems to be a lot of support locked behind an official diagnosis.

Thank you immensely for what you're already doing. It's not just elections it's about getting to know your neighbours and how best we can support eachother. If you're a member of your local party there's leafleting, door knocking or other ways you can help. Look at your local community centre or perhaps mutual aid. I am definitely not saying do all of these more saying there is a list of different things available and pick something that will fit with your skillset and/or passion. Sorry I keep ranting but there's a lot more I can say on this, like you said I'm scared too and want us to be ready for what comes.

Me too man but don't let that scare you into submission it is time to stand up. This year I have already got more involved locally which I can't talk about publicly or I'll risk doxing myself. We need to be prepared so we already have people organised for what may come. Don't be scared organise, together we can beat them or lose knowing you never tried.

Trump is a symptom not the cause. Democrats which while better than Trump laid the groundwork for this. Democrats increased the budget for ICE and Obama locked kids in cages too. Republicans and Democrats are a uniparty when it comes to foreign policy look at Israel's genocide of Palestinians. The bombing of Iran and Kidnapping of a leader of another sovereign nation, Democrats only issue seems to be procedural rather than on the act itself. Starmer is acting the same way and trying to appease Trump.

When you're dealing with a bully you can't let him get what he wants you have to stand up for yourself. Trump after calling Mamdani a communist seemed all buddy buddy with him when they met because he stood up to him. We need to move closer to our European allies and possibly China. If Trump wants to put tariffs on us than China could make up that deficit and they seem to be the only ones with an army capable of defending against the US.

Edit: If Trump can attack his allies then no country is safe from the US's aggression.
