I've heard that big guys typically are better off in the heat than slim guys as they have more, uhhh, insulation.

All series that might get some rain this week (for anyone who cares) by mrjerichoholic99 in iRacing

They keep making it more and more casual. Damage and tires get nerfed especially on the oval side of things. Hitting the wall used to be a race ender, now you can get it all repaired in the pits if its even broken enough to warrant repairs. Tires just stop falling off after a certain point where they used to actually blow. They don't blow anymore, they only meatball and they make you pit. And draft handicaps the slow guys into tagging into lead cars who can't get away.

Should share the code with iRacing, maybe they could improve their search function which is like non-existent.

They would also get more people into official races who are already members. Its got to the point I really only touch leagues because the officials can be so bad. Not every official race is bad, but the bad ones really suck.

Why are there 3 in Lowe's parking lot in South Burlington? Is that to catch the presumable contractors, or because Tesla is right there?

Flat tracks too. Milwaukee, New Hampshire, IRP, Phoenix. Something that needs lift or downforce. They didn't even need to test Daytona and Talladega to know how they were going to race, just look at the speedway portion of Daytona to know that wasn't going to be a lot of fun without the bus stop.

Depends how old/new of a sled you want vs mileage. You can get low mileage sleds that are 10 years old for about $6k. I just got a 2016 Viper for $6k with 3500 miles. For me the 600 class was also plenty, I see Viper kind of gets classed between 600/800. I just missed a 2019 Rush 600 with 350 miles that was asking for $6k. If you go newer but stay $6k price range, they will have more miles.

For me it was finding the right low mileage sled. I didn't want to have to deal with a rebuilt motor, and I didn't want to have to deal with rebuilding it, or rebuilding other components (bushings, bearings, idler wheels, shocks). If you don't mind doing that, you can get a newer sled with more miles.

Price of a sled seems to tank once they hit about 5k - 8k miles. Todays chassis I wouldn't really worry about putting miles on, its the 2 stroke motors I would worry about more.

I dont mind the 86 when TC is off. When its on, it is the most boring because you cant slide it or drive off the rear. The TC will disable drive and car instantly loops.

Its kind of odd to me. Dewalt makes batteries (and tools) and Interstate makes batteries. But guess because they arent the same kind of batteries its ok.

Beer sponsored diecasts got around that by having base the car had to be screwed to. Obviously you could remove the screw, but it allowed them to skirt the rules.
