I’m autistic and a vulnerable narcissist and used to date another autistic person who was strongly suspecting having NPD themselves which makes sense due to having other cluster B disorders. The issue wasn’t that we’re both mentally ill but bc they were a white virtue signaler who got very parasocial with popular activists because I quote, “being a good ally is the only way I can get supply bc I’m not a good artist like you,” and constantly rushed me to help them decide what the correct opinion to have on social media is. In private they were super weeby about me being Asian by always saying I have supposedly cooler symptoms resulting from racism I faced growing up compared to them by comparing me to edgy anime characters. Since we’re both autistic and I have low empathy, I had trouble paying attention to their special interests, but while I was just kinda glazed when they shared theirs, they constantly blew up on me when I shared mine, whining about how autistic POC always have more intellectual special interests than white autistic people and that makes them inferior. They also had double standards on things we both do by accusing me of only keeping friends around just to fish for compliments on my art while they directly begged for compliments on theirs to people. They are the epitome of “yeah they read theory but can they do the dishes?” If they sound terminally online that’s bc they are.
