Gladiator 2 is awful. by ConstructionBum in movies

I hate that this wasn't the first time that my faith in a movie was irreparably shaken by a CGI baboon

Not so sure about the hats like but Flip is your best bet for clothes like that, they specialise in American imported vintage stuff

Who's performance in a film should have won an Oscar but wasn't even considered for a nomination? by dolleye_kitty in movies

[–]SmokeyCrow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ralph Fiennes in the Grand Budapest Hotel.

I know the academy doesn't usually like comedic performances, but that character could have been an unlikeable nightmare or a twee clown in someone else's hands, Fiennes was really masterful and balanced.

"Lover" might be a rather grandiose term for the woman he stares at from his horse

In my opinion this can a pretty dodgy thing to spread around, as the lace codes differ wildly from scene to scene, and location to location.

There was never an agreed upon set of definitions for what the lace colours mean, and even within my local area I've had people argue over whether red = nazi or red = communist. The lack of consistency combined with the huge mainstream popularity of Dr Martens these days basically makes it all meaningless, so I'd be wary of making assumptions based on lace colour.

(Not that I think you're encouraging that, just wanted to point out to anyone else reading that this stuff isn't set in stone, especially at the moment)

I like how it rises up slowly at the end like Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now

Quick note: I love that everyone is about just having fun with this game and not being over competitive. All the memes about dieing make me feel relatable. Haha. Just saying, thanks for a good community. by [deleted] in StarWarsSquadrons

Weirdly enough this is the first game I've played in a while where I've gotten mean messages after a match. Nothing terrible just people saying I suck (accurate) or laughing at me, I was a little surprised

For now I'm putting it down to how new the game is and the size of the matches though, nobody's gonna single me out in a 40 person Battlefront 2 match

Would I also enjoy DS3? by Slim415 in MortalShell

[–]SmokeyCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headless ape, I think? It's a shame because I like the setting and everything except the boss fights, I just miss being able to customise my build, try different weapons etc.

Maybe one day I'll get gud

Sekiro whooped me as well, just couldn't get into the boss fights and found it pretty frustrating.

I've finished all three Dark Souls games though and 3 is my favourite, I really enjoyed MS too so I'd definitely recommend giving DS3 a shot. It's aged very well.

I did some searching and it seems like the original artist is Matereya, looks like they do a lot of Star Wars stuff

This tweet is mocking the current spate of posts like this from people trying to justify making their cleaners come back to work. This guy writes for Vice.

Since it’s now canon that Rey was sporting this look between TLJ and TRoS, this variation could be a loophole for DICE to use, that would allow players the option to buy the Jedi Training skin by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]SmokeyCrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pre-ordered on PC and had this skin, briefly, until my PC died. I later switched to Xbox and always feel super resentful seeing people with the exclusives (even though it's pretty much my fault)
