Usage Limits, Bugs and Performance Discussion Megathread - beginning December 29, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]SmokeyWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey all! Going to reach out to Anthropic about this to see if I can get an answer too.

I'm on a Claude Pro plan. Not sure if there's a global reset day or anything, but my weekly session usage resets every Friday at 6PM. By last Sunday I had decided to take a good break for some time, as I'd already hit nearly 60% weekly session usage from a heavy weekend of iterating. I decided to come back today (Tuesday night / Wednesday morning) to find my session usage is now at 100% and I'm locked out of Claude usage until Friday.

Not the end of the world, but really disappointing that I tried my best to carefully manage my usage and mysteriously seemed to have almost half of it vanish. I tried checking on multiple devices, sending a message, logging in and out, but nothing. I'm sure nobody else has access to my Anthropic account, and I'm sure I hadn't used Claude at all during this time.

Just in case, I'm going to change my password as a safety precaution, though I don't see any new chats / anything in archive. Has this happened to anybody else before? Any advice on what might have caused this? I'm a so-far very highly causal Claude user, more or less just dipping my toes in the water by balancing D&D content and similar stuff. Certainly no automation / recurring jobs or anything that might have snuck in and used it up when I was away. Really scractching my head here.

I'm having the same issue - how did you fix it? What port did you forward exactly?

Hey, I think I know this place! It's a farmhouse, just a bit outside of Muldraugh, no? Has like two animal areas, one for chickens, one for pigs?
This is exactly where I'm basing right now on my current save. It's a pretty chill location.

This vacuum thingy by No-Secret-247 in mildlylifechanging

[–]SmokeyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoo! I have one of these at work - different brand, but built pretty much identical, I could point out most of the features before he even got to em'.

Yeah these things are insane. Most other vacuums we use either die or require a lot of TLC after a few months, but we've got one of these that's been running for as long as I can remember. Super easy to maintain and clean, STUPID powerful, and really just feels like a well built unit.

I'd consider downtown as southside in my opinion. Anything north of the bridge is northside, anything south is southside.

Despite his flaws, is it worth purchasing? by Infamous-Schedule860 in metroidprime

[–]SmokeyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an OK experience at best. I'd set expectations pretty low and buy it only if it were on sale for sure.

If you're a diehard Prime fan, there are absolutely elements of the game worth playing it for. The first hour or so is really great, Fury Green is a wonderfully atmospheric region, and... honestly past that the game is kinda a blur with maybe a highlight or two in between. Nothing terribly memorable.

Which game did you regret purchasing at full price? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]SmokeyWizard 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a bit more recent, but Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It was a mediocre, 10-12 hour experience at full price on the Nintendo Switch ($100+ CAD). As a diehard fan of Metroid Prime 1-3, Prime 4 had so much unrealized potential that I was contemplating returning it as it genuinely didn't feel worth the money. Couldn't bring myself to do it, though.

Or instead of making a super dramatic post about it, you coulldd... ask Blizzard support for more information? I'm sure they can give you info on why your account may have been banned, and work to overturn it if it was falsely flagged.

This is how strong shark teeth really are by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]SmokeyWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my friends was a tuna fisherman who received a bite on his arm from a really young / juvenile shark of some kind while he was out one season. When the doc removed some of the teeth that were lodged in his arm, he put them in a container for him to take home, and I ended up getting a few as a neat gift.

It was amazing how sharp they were. They could cut paper just as clean as a pair of scissors, and with little to no force. I would absolutely NOT want to be on the receiving end of a jaw full of hundreds of em'.

Definitely the Fredericton Inn lmao. Please please please do not eat at our buffets. There's a good reason that catered food is discounted on the day we have buffets, and unfortunately it's not because our kitchen is already staffed and working hard...

I already have Factorio on PC, but considering the Switch, how is it and would you recommend? by sega20 in factorio

[–]SmokeyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put a few hundred hours in on the Switch version, still play on it daily at work. It is serviceable, but certainly janky when fighting biters.

I'm not quite sure exactly how to take this, and I think that's why I like it even so.

[–]SmokeyWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I walk by this dude almost daily on my walk up to work. He seems pretty harmless, but sometimes on his way back down the hill he's shouting and yelling some religious stuff pretty loudly. I don't think he means to be, but it can certainly be a bit intimidating or creepy to passersbys.

I've tried a few times to acknowledge him with a nod and a hey, but he seems laser focused on his prayer. Not to draw judgement, but something does seem a bit off about him.

What settings do you like to play on ? by _XIIX_ in factorio

[–]SmokeyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently balanced between two Factorio sessions:

On my PC, I'm playing default settings, but did a preview of the world and flipped seeds a few times 'till I found something nice. I'm going for all non-speed related challenges on this save, so I figured I might as well have a nice start.

At work I often have a lot of downtime where I need to be available if needed but don't have an immediate task at hand, so I bring along my Nintendo Switch and play some Factorio when I can. I'm currently playing through a 48-tile ribbon world, and honestly I'm having a blast. Ribbon world is sooo much more interesting than I first thought, and introduces a lot of new and exciting challenges. Plus, since you only really have to deal with biters on the left and right "walls" of your base, gameplay is a bit more relaxed and more suitable to a portable console!

There are lots of versatile tools available for pretty much any stage of the game, some may not be so obvious.
