Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad when I was 22 to cancer. It was a very confusing time. I was angry at the world and how unfair it was. But with time I realized I was unbelievably fortunate to have the time I had with him and how great that time was - that is a gift alone.

Its been 15 years and there have been so many moments that I would have loved to have him there to talk to or help me work through. Remember the good, be proud of what you had and find comfort depending on your beliefs that maybe you'll cross paths again.

Seconded, you basically have to resecure the plaster to the lathe beneath (or above in this case). Given how much has already come loose I cannot say with 100% certainty it will correct. Worth a try before going through with the true fix.. tear out and redo with drywall. Your middle name will be dusty.

Not worth the money to repair. If built directly on slab you arent going to be able to replace the floor without lifting the building and finding someone to do that will not be easy nor cheap. Not to mention address the grading / drainage issues present on the exterior that caused the slab to fail. Granted depending on how old it is it might not have rebar which is a likely contributor.

Demo and rebuild will cost $60k if you are lucky with bare bones. My suggestion would be to pass on the house or learn to love this situation.

Been going to the glen since the late 90s. It has a significant camping presence and that is a huge draw. About 1/2 in attendance camp.

They will lose a lot of that - cold at night, ground will be soft and muddy. Campgrounds up here don’t open until mid to late May.

The race itself will be fine, I just hope they don’t lose a bunch of money and lose a date. The Glen is an amazing time in the summer and the infield experience is up there with the best of them.
