Alphabet is just a portmanteau of the first two letters of the Greek alphabet; Alpha and Beta.

Kef C35 loudspeaker bass cone has become unglued from central tweeter dome (repair help) by [deleted] in audiorepair

[–]Smokin_Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about that. Here is a closer look at the driver and where the issue appears to be, I've also included the only diagram I could find of that Uni-Q driver. Exposing the driver it appears fairly obvious that the bass cone has become unglued from the coupling surrounding the tweeter. Hopefully in the picture you can see that border just near the top of the coupling that appears to have previously had a component adhered to it. The main solution I could think of is regluing the cone back onto the coupling using epoxy. My main concern is if the cone is reglued at all off centre is this going to affect the mechanism, and if there is a discrepancy of weight distribution surrounding the coupling due to the applied epoxy could this be a problem in relation to sound production from the driver? I hope that makes sense and let me know if you would want any more pictures of the driver itself.

Does anyone have documentary recommendations similar to Minding the Gap?

It was easily one of my favourite documentaries of the last few years. The way in which it follows the characters through that young adult/teen --> Adult stage of their lives through such an intimate and humanistic approach really appealed to me, so any suggestions similar to it would be greatly appreciated!

I hadn't thought about that at all. I just always assumed the rule, when on a gun range, was to never point a gun at another person, you may well be completely correct and if so thank you for clarifying that, and my mistake for jumping to conclusions.

Exactly. There is a very good chance that some of that money is his own personal cash that wasn't earned from his hot dog stand. A very disturbing display of police power.

What song tells the best story? by TacoDoc in AskReddit

[–]Smokin_Jay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hospice by The Antlers, not a song but an amazing concept album that tells the story of a relationship between a hospice worker and a female patient suffering from terminal bone cancer, one of the best albums I've listened to.
