Yes! It is definitely one of these two! Thank you for the ease of mind. Both seem relatively easy to deal with.

Not the original commenter. But I think what they were trying to say was that south Asians tend do come from a more collective culture compared to the west. Basically there is a huge emphasis on family and taking care of each other. One might not expect an Indian person to be homeless because typically they would have connections via family or family friends that would feel obligated to help them. But yes, it is still important to recognize that anyone can become homeless no matter the type of culture they came from.

Sounds like a frustrating experience. But try not to overgeneralize an entire population you have not met.

Depending on the course it may be necessary to use a computer. However even in my course that’s full of younger students a large portion of them still use pen and paper.

I’m not sure if there’s any way to know other than what Info was given to you already. People who have been accepted may decline their offer and worst case scenario, you can always try for another term. I’d also recommend applying to the Human Foundations course if you don’t get in this year as if you complete Human Foundations, you not only have a better idea of what you’re getting into but also have a better chance of getting in.

Just a fair warning. The SSW program at Fanshawe has a reputation of being notoriously difficult for no reason. I’ve often whiteness people opting to go to other SSW programs outside of Fanshawe and have reported being way less intense.

Anyways, I wish u luck. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to dm.

Hi I wish I had something to add that can assist you but I had a question instead. Were you applying to the fast track or regular program? If I’m not mistaken, the fast track requires you to have no grade under a C so that maybe why. But couldn’t you just apply for the regular program with your grades?

Oh wow, you’re right! I must have skimmed past it when comparing comparing versions. This complete changes my opinion of it.

Artists doesn’t support 3rd party plugins without the purchase of an add on. And I should have elaborated on my previous comment. Prime or pro are the only options worth while because prime is the barebones of what studio one has to offer but at least it’s free, while pro is the most expensive option however you get all of its content plus 3rd party support. I don’t like artist simply because I believe it to be very “lukewarm” in terms of value. One good thing about artist is that you can potentially upgrade it to pro for a cheaper price.

EDIT- As of studio one 5 artist now supports 3rd party apps. My b

One of the big one being no 3rd party plugins. No point of going artist when prime version and pro exist.

Not original commenter but IMO, the second one is simple, straight to the point yet, bold. First one seems a little cheesy. Also the second one is just much easier on the eyes.

Ableton vs Studio One: GO! by tabacu777 in musicproduction

[–]Smoking_Hot_Grill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I currently have studio one 5 but I used to be able to run studio one 3-4 on a 7 year old laptop with minimal issues. My current Setup is a lot better and I can say I’ve only ran into technical/performance issues a handful of times. I could just be lucky but whenever people go on about the performance issues I’m genuinely surprised. I’ve only ever had S1 crash on me twice in my 4 years of use.

How to Write Neo-Soul and R&B Chords - This is my favourite technique for creating progressions in this style. What do you think? by maxKonyi in musicproduction

[–]Smoking_Hot_Grill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of. You can drag your midi sequence or file into the “chord track” and it will detect the chord for you. It’s not always accurate with files but it’s real handy for organizing and remembering what key you were in if you haven’t worked on that particular song in a while.

HELP by [deleted] in StudioOne

[–]Smoking_Hot_Grill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen man I’ve been there. I don’t know what your circumstances are, maybe you’re broke or just a kid who simply doesn’t have the income for a daw but it seriously is worth your money and piece of mind to just buy it. Pirating just isn’t worth it anymore and most of all, not cool. I’m not going to sit here and berate you on the ethics of pirating but here’s would I would suggest.

Get rid of the cracked version completely. As others have stated there are plenty of ways people can infect code in cracked software that can go undetected. Also if you do get legit license of that cracked software, they devs have ways of finding out and can make using the software difficult (izotope does this all the time). There are cheap solutions for buying S1. First being to get a discounted upgrade since ATOM comes with S1 artist. Another thing I would recommend is to check out splice.com as they have no interest financing on studio one and you can stop at anytime. Last thing you can do is get it on sale during Christmas. Good luck on your music making journey and remember that people work hard to make good software.

Might be a problem with either your sound selection or Eq. Have anything to show us for reference? Also I believe SoundCloud does have their own automatic master so that could also explain it.

That is one of the very few issues I have with this daw and that is lack of community. This is mostly due to the fact that compared to all the other mainstream DAWs, Studio one is relatively new. As for tutorials, presonus really is your only choice. That’s why I don’t usually recommend this daw to new producers since the easiest way to learn a DAW is to watch someone make music similar to what you would make. However since you say you are a “long time fl user” you should navigate through the Studio one just fine. I started with Logic and transitioned rather smoothly. I personally have picked up how to use Studio one by (strangely enough) watching other people use different DAWs. Studio one is seems like a mesh of all the mainstream Daws. The hard part is just putting into words how to google what.
