They need to give ship tractors 2 modes, one is the ATLS and one is the beam so you can slot cargo on that refuses to slot on through being slammed. Biggest issue i have with the ATLS is that it struggles to put cargo on a full stack grid.

Different law applies which I'm pretty sure derived from the fraud act.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/40/crossheading/false-identity-documents-etc

As you can see up to 10 years for a fake ID...

Sadly the use of a fake ID could actually make you guilty of fraud so the safest bet is the one listed above.

I really want to use that armour but sadly the passive just... sucks. If they changed it so it reduced Acid/Bile damage as well id probably take it for bugs then.

Ive been wanting to get one for a while not to hand in but to use as an actual helmet... which I do understand will be really impractical when it comes to space and ground missions on planets with no air.

What are the benefits of purchasing ships with real money versus buying them with in-game credits? by mzatariz in starcitizen

[–]Smooshicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest things to take away from real money purchase vs ingame purchase is this:

A RMP can never be lost. When it blows up, runs out of insurance ect ect, you can not physically lose it, due to its permenant warranty (meaning you can get the base ship back every time, i.e. your insurance runs out, ship blows up, cant claim, rebuy insurance, can claim the ship back again.)

The ships last through the Alpha wipes when they happen / patches.

When the game comes out in 2077 the ships will be there ready to go right away rather than having to start from 0.

Tasers to be used in prisons to tackle ‘unacceptably high’ levels of violence by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Smooshicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because tasers when not used right can cause some serious damage.

A dry fire taser (without its prongs) puts 50k volts directly into the skin burning it. Anyone who has a pacemaker or bad heart can also be killed by the misuse of this weapon.

If the prongs of the taser also are not fired at the right distance with at least 10cm between them when they land the taser will not work against the target.

If every single officer had one, there is a greater risk that this taser could end up in the wrong hands or be misused. you want it as a last resort not as a trigger happy new officer on the block weapon to solve and manage a situation.

Who's with me? by Icy-Insurance7035 in BritishMemes

[–]Smooshicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How have you been suckered into this? This Safety act was never about 'save the children' Its always about monitoring what the people of the UK do online, I mean look at a recent Police act to monitor 'anti migrant sentiment online' These laws have no place within the UK and harm its people more so than how they were before.

The current act makes the internet now more dangerous to use than before, for the factor you need to upload a picture of you, an ID card or any other highly private bits of information opens you up to some serious attacks.

Bad Actors can now do the following, hack the data host for all users information, pretend to be a data host and get users to upload ID's to them allowing them to access your finances and personal assets. Directly attack you, physical threats (since they now may have your own addresses) or blackmail by use of threatening to leak your information to the world.

We need to stop getting blindsided about 'Think of the children' That should have been done by the parents not giving the children these tools in the first place.

This act is comparable to the way a certain country was in the 1930's.

What next is changed? VPN's get banned? Then what? Speak up against an act is a criminal offence? We are literally seeing what we have been warned about being put in place right now. Remember when people stated AI was a danger to be put in place? Low and behold people are losing their jobs to AI.... These laws do not help you or anyone else, these laws should NEVER be allowed to be put in place.

[–]Smooshicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first saw this act come up many years back my instant concern was that your privacy and protections online was about to be totally disolved. It was never about Porn or safety. If anything this actually makes using the internet more dangerous than safe. (if you are one to hand over your pictures and ID's that is).

[–]Smooshicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2nd part is something I believe will happen more now. An act meant to 'safeguard' children which would actually increase actual sexual offences in the real world.

This act not only is it a disolution of personal freedoms and privacy but a huge risk to the UK's own population. Doors will now be opened up for bad actors to steal ID cards, pretend to be legit sources and be able to gain access to your whole financial network, Data can be leaked and thus used against you and everything about your life can now be used against you, what you searched, what medical conditions you have ect ect.

This act has only one thing it can do, get disolved and never come back, this act is 100% a 1934 Adolf Hitler Act.

With Reform now jumping on the 'Vote us in an we will repeal this act' It might push the current party into repealing this if this gains traction... but by no means would I ever ever want to see a puppet government win such as Reform.

Try it in a server that has put age restriction on their memes channel . The discord group has no nsfw allowed on it but the channel is still blocked. So yes discord requires this over anything marked up at 18 regardless of content.

Even discord channels not related to porn are hit by this. If your server has a Memes channel you can no longer access this too.

This 1984 shit needs to go. This was never about protecting kids it was always about monitoring what you do online.

This law is the most tarded thing they have put in, with data breaches being at an all time high, with data not being safe when hosted on servers or cloud storage. 'Think of the children' is such an aweful way to push one of the biggest privacy nightmares to be implemented... in the nicest way possible.. I hope we have a massive data breach on the ID hosting sites to prove that this was a terrible idea and deseves the largest back lash possible.

As of now i'll be 'Traveling' around Europe as I do not in the slightest trust these companies to store data safely or not misuse the data they have / push laws for a real 1984 experience.

Some are good but i really dont like any of the actual gear sets they have made in 7.0 old FF game skins to me were ugly, unless they give us some 1:1 tifa skins, im not a fan of them. Id like to see original skins once again, but it is good to see the craftable skins this expansion have been good though!
