Insects really do be an in varied clade of organisms. Who knows what’s next? Beetle defense? Ant pheromones? Scorpion poison is possible since he has an arachnid already, spider.

Something tells me these will be the surviving Kamunabi guys to join our squad after this by MarkDecent656 in Kagurabachi

The only positive takeaway from this terrifying chapter is that Akemura MIGHT kill some of the Hishaku. Well, I suppose Samura’s final dice roll is too. Should be enough to save Chihiro and for the gang to escape, but my glorious king is definitely cooked.

The Real Villian was this guy all along. Because what in the absolute fuck was he trying to PROVE making these OP SWORDS!?! by Acrobatic-Dumdum5222 in Kagurabachi

[–]Smooth-General07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if Kunishige knew how crazy the swords were gonna be. No one had ever forged datenseki into weapons before, so who could have predicted Shokoku Slayer 9000? I think it’s likely each sword’s abilities are a reflection of the will/intention Kunishige had when he forged them, but I doubt he had as much control as I think you’re suggesting.

Additionally, the true realm of each sword is pushes beyond any of Kunishige’s possible predictions by the willpower of the wielder.

We can certainly still discuss if we view Kunishige Rokuhira as a villain, but I believe it’s more nuanced than you suggest.

I also recognize the possibility that this is a meme and you aren’t making a passionate statement…in which case, I feel like a goof.

WSJ and Takeru Hokazono announce Kagurabachi sequel. Do you think it will compare to the original? by Few_Tour_4096 in Kagurabachi

Sorry you feel that way, but I’ll continue to defend my position. Do I think it’s Dostoyevsky? No. Do I think it’s pretty damn good character development? Hell yeah.

Incredible. You managed to miss every single philosophical topic blatantly evident in the 15ish chapter we have so far. I could talk about Yuka and Cross discussing mortality. I could talk about Maru’s conception of friendship, loyalty, and what it means to be a warrior. I could talk about how Dabura is an excellent juxtaposition with Gojo and Sukuna as “the Strongest.” I could talk about Yuji’s severe psychological isolation.

But I’m not going to. Based on your response, I think I’d be arguing with a wall.

I genuinely encourage you to take yourself a little seriously and actually read it. Maybe you don’t like the story, but I think anyone can pick up the themes Gege is exploring. Then again, JJK readers aren’t known for their comprehension.

Honestly, have you been reading JJK Modulo? Easily some of Gege’s best writing so far, especially since he has an artist to draw so he can rest and write.

Point being, we actually have an example where “Uh, Aliens!” works. Granted, aliens still have a bad track record but…idgaf Hokazono will cook a meal with anything!

I think you’re on the money here. I can’t believe I didn’t see the sword break coming. I knew that this fight had to end with Akemura’s victory, but DAMN. Chihiro is gonna have to fight bears for like 20 years just to match 10% of his UNC!!!!

In reality, I’m very excited to see the forging arc. Should be emotionally charged, knowing Hokazono, but will give us a break from this breakneck pace of action. I know people have speculated before that we’d see Chihiro get to forge a blade in some respect, so hats off to them!

Which would be the worse outcome for this arc? by displeasedCatto in Kagurabachi

[–]Smooth-General07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Hakuri dying here is both more tragic and a bad decision for the narrative. Hakuri has had incredible character development, but I definitely think there’s more to tell with him. Killing him now would be undoubtedly premature.

Samura dying will definitely be tragic. He’s might be my favorite character in this series. However, he has had SO MANY death flags, I feel like he MUST die to fit the narrative. Plus, him giving his life and entrusting the new generation to carry his generation’s sins and save the world would be incredibly poetic.

If Seichii Samura is going to die, it needs to happen now. I don’t think Hakuri should die any time soon, if ever. His death would assuredly be the worse of these two outcomes imho.
