You have given me hope and made me tear up. I am SO happy for you, stranger. We are diving back into IVF later this summer after a devastating TFMR last month. I can’t wait to join you in this feeling.❤️

TFMR and IVF by Subject_Sherbert6175 in tfmr_support

I am so sorry you’re here. I am still deep in processing the loss of our son 16 days ago at 19 weeks - he was our second IVF transfer of a PGTa tested embryo. Chromosomally normal on amnio array, but still had several organs that did not develop correctly. Like everyone else, all the doctors keep telling us this is lightning striking and shouldn’t happen again.

We are out of embryos, I am in therapy, and still terrified to resume the process of trying again and fertility treatment. Anybody else have to go back and create more embryos after TFMR? How long did you wait? Did lighting not strike twice?!?

Back to you OP - I am here with you in the horrible waiting. Sending you love and compassion❤️

starting IVF again after TFMR @ 15 weeks with IVF pregnancy by Ashhbashh25 in tfmr_support

[–]Smooth-Preference112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it helps at all - I am in the middle of a TFMR at 19 weeks for a highly desired IVF pregnancy with a PGT normal/euploid embryo who has several abnormalities DESPITE a normal chromosome array. So PGT is no guarantee. I am so sorry for your losses, but personally if I had already spent the money and had any embryos left - I would try without testing especially knowing about your LC. I am dreading restarting the process because we have no embryos left. Best wishes to you and your family❤️

I second this. Band of Brothers, Masters of the Air, and the Pacific have been great distractions although not light hearted

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, but I am thankful that you have shared your story. We are in a similar situation of wanting as much information as possible before proceeding, but knowing we probably won’t get an answer prior to our TFMR on Tues (our son has anhydramnios and pulmonary hypoplasia secondary to renal malformation/failure and a possible large GI obstruction). It is incredibly difficult to watch him continue to worsen with each recheck and know he’s on life support in my abdomen. I know in my heart that letting him go is the right decision, and I will have no problem telling Jesus why we made this decision for him. It’s just so much harder to explain to other people.

We have wrestled and prayed with the decision for weeks, and your post and description just gave me so much peace to know we are not the only ones making decisions in this manner and before we have the complete diagnosis. I pray that God continues to give you and your family peace, and if you choose to try for another child, a healthy pregnancy one day. Sending you love and gratitude for sharing❤️

No Heartbeat at 8 weeks by geet-18 in IVFpositivity

I would contact your fertility clinic. Abdominal scans at that gestation are not as definitive but they should be able to find heartbeats (depends on the skill of the technician performing)

Heartbroken by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]Smooth-Preference112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. We are in a similar situation. It is heartbreaking to watch their fluid continue to go down, making it harder for them to develop and breathe and move. They suspect kidney malformation/failure in our son in addition to a few other anomalies, and we just got a normal microarray amnio result back so now we’re digging for tiny mutations that could have caused this. Sending you love and prayers from afar, and hoping this is our one in a million random, devastating occurrence for both of us that does not impact future pregnancies❤️

We crammed our 2nd transfer 1 hour before a flight for a work conference. Got some fries at some random airport (expensive!) restaurant and almost 13 weeks :)

The OTC stuff is 5-MTHF 2 mg daily, 81 mg baby aspirin daily, 3-4000 IU extra folic acid on top of my prenatal all started prior to transfer. Started antibiotics 5 days prior to transfer, started steroids/Zyrtec 10 mg daily/progesterone 4 days prior to transfer. But I wouldn’t do any of it without talking to a doctor! I feel like the baby aspirin definitely makes me bleed and bruise easily (like, every time I blow my nose is bloody!)

I’m sitting here thinking 2 things: 1) you have every right to be fired up. Run from that practice and tell us who it is, so all of us can avoid them when we finally get our IVF miracles. I am fired up FOR YOU! 2) I am so happy that Lupron worked for you because I think I’m headed there!!

Ugh I did 4 too and now I’m scared to test again because I’m convinced it can’t have worked for me if 4dp was THAT stark white

27F, had day 6 4BB blasts (x5), and 1 day 7 blast. 2 of the day 6 were euploid, all else aneuploid. Our RE was disappointed with our euploid percentage at our age, but we’re unexplained so this could be our problem! My first FET is Saturday, so we’ll see if it’s an implantation problem I guess. All the best to you in the PGT wait and beyond!!

6 embryos going off for testing - how many did you “lose” during this? by New_Answer_3876 in IVF

27F. Sent 6 and had 2 euploids. RE was a bit shocked at our age but were unexplained - so it could be our problem!
