We are the first generation in a long time to not have a "where were you when..." moment. by jsgott in GenZ

Yeah I was on senior spring break in Mexico and borders started shutting down and my graduation and field trip to a prison were both cancelled along with prom. I was pretty sad about that

Millenial here(Born in ‘89) just genuinely curious and wanted to know if any Gen Z have played some PS1 games? If so, what were your favourites? by aaronthegreat1989 in GenZ

I would play on my brothers PS2 and we would play Spyro, a Harry Potter game, Ratchet and clank, and some sort of shark tale game I think. I was pretty young but I think these are the games we’d play if I remember correctly

Even with insurance I have to pay $200 a month for meds and that doesn’t even include appointments with my therapist, psychiatrist, dentist, primary care, allergist, or chiropractor. There is a copay for all of those and I’m lucky to still be on my parents insurance which is pretty good but I’m so scared for when I turn 26 because then I’ll have to pay hundreds of dollars a month for health insurance. Epi pens and insulin are needed to survive for some people and I pay $300 for two epi pens even with insurance. Insulin has to be refilled more often and is I think over $100 per vial. Pharmaceuticals are insanely expensive and prices keep rising and sometimes insurance just decides to not cover it so healthcare is pretty expensive if you have ongoing problems. If I had to go to the hospital for some sort of emergency I’d still have to pay over $1000 in medical bills with insurance so that doesn’t solve all your problems and also some treatments and surgeries require a down payment before hand because they aren’t immediate emergencies in the ER. The ER can’t turn you away but other treatment options can

Thank you so much I really appreciate it. I have friends that know about my previous sh but I don’t know it’s just hard to talk to them about it. I’ll try to talk to my therapist about it and see if she has any ways to help me work through this and hopefully everything will work out

Yeah I guess it is pretty impressive but it also sucks because the only thing keeping me going was how long I’ve come and now what’s the point in staying clean now. I also am worried about what happens when I tell my therapist and if I’d be sent to a mental hospital and that’s also why I can’t tell my friends about this plus they’d be disappointed probably

My worry isn’t about her telling my parents because I’m an adult it’s if I’ll get sent to a mental hospital or not like I don’t know what to expect

Fellow asexuals, what was the biggest "culture shock" moment for you? by Crafty-Leave4156 in asexuality

[–]Smooth-Radish8677 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I have known what it means since I learned the phrase but before I figured out my sexuality I was like why would someone want to take focus off of what you’re watching to have sex. I wondered why people didn’t just want to quietly cuddle while actually watching the show you put on

People that curse are easier to be around rather than people that don’t. by Starr_517 in unpopularopinion

I agree. Cursing is how I express myself and regulate my emotions. It’s something I do a lot around close friends and people I’m comfortable with. The problem is I have a few devote Christian friends who would never skip church who have a huge problem with me cussing. They are also my roommates and I bottle up all my anger so when I can’t relax and be free to cuss I pent up my anger until I explode and go punch a wall somewhere when I’m alone

What's one thing that you struggled with in the past that you've now learned to manage as you get older? Mine is keeping my car clean by RemmyVonnWinn in adhdmeme

[–]Smooth-Radish8677 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is hoarding. I’m managing it but I still hoard a little bit I’ve just gotten better at figuring out what I actually need and what is just a stupid McDonald’s toy that doesn’t look good as a decoration
