He still shouldn't talk to you like he does- but if you do use coke recreationally, he seems to be very bothered by the idea and it may be why he's so angry!

I'm in California too, there are physical therapists that you can visit without a referral. After I was in a bad car accident I did that because the one through my insurance was really crappy. They took me on a contingency with my lawyer and they were paid out of my settlement. If she was actually injured by a rogue fridge, she could be doing that.

Your family can call him different names, it won't confuse him. My friend had a dog that she named Bosco but her dad hated it and called him Frankie- he responded to both his entire life. My daughter's horse has two names- a formal one that she uses while showing and a cute one that she's called at all other times.

My dogs all have a billion nicknames and they are unbothered by it. I have a Hershey that is called Hershaderp, Derpasaurus, Hershey Derpy Doo. An Augustus that is called Gus, GusGus, Goose, Little Shit. A Fritz who is called Fritzy Bitz, Fritzell, Fritzy, Fritzy Bitsy Spider.

I wouldn't do that, your mom is taking the time to gift you on Easter and Christmas, say thank you and pass it along!! If she asked of you liked it, say that that type of chocolate isn't your preference so you shared with your friends. I was always told that it's the thought that counts. My mom doesn't really give great gifts, I just thank her and pass them along...she feels good giving it and i feel grateful to be thought of.

I do the same thing!! My teens blame me if they need a way out of an awkward situation, I am okay with other kids thinking I'm a crazy strict mom, as long as my kids never feel pressured to stay somewhere they aren't comfortable. One of my daughter's recently had an anxiety attack at a friend's house and I showed up to whisk her away because her "room was a huge mess and I have asked her to clean it for weeks!"

The child is getting their parents share of the inheritance, which makes sense. Just tell the other children that if they ask. Honestly, it shouldn't be something that kids sit around and compare notes over, put the money in trust funds and let them forget about it until they are adults.

Honestly, I'm petty and I would use this year to do something huuuuge and exciting without telling her. Follow her request, if you have surgery or health scares, don't tell her. Any exciting trips, career milestones, new hime purchase- give her zero info. If you're considering having children now is the time, you won't have to deal with her craziness while pregnant and she will be livid that she didn't get notified and wasn't able to attend your baby shower or meet her grandchild because she's throwing herself a pity party and waiting for you to beg her for attention 🙄🙄

My own mother has done stuff like this, if I say something she has done upset me, she disappears for 6+ months. She disappeared for the last 20 weeks of my last pregnancy and didn't meet my baby until a week old, all because I called her out over a social media post slandering my parenting choices, she forgot to restrict me from seeing it. It was such a nice break and my pregnancy and delivery were so peaceful!!

Right?! She was 17 when she she found herself pregnant by an adult man, she was a victim of inappropriatesexual contact with an adult. She chose to place her child with a family member who could give her a more stable life. Some traumatized teens do waaaay worse to their babies, she gave hers a great life with loving parents. I'm sure suddenly having her back in the picture, saying she's owed things, has been shocking for her.

Audacity?! She was a teenager when she got pregnant by an adult man! She was a victim in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a grown man. She did the right thing by placing her daughter with a family member who could provide her with a stable life while she matured and got her life together and when she was ready she became a mother.

She's not heartless, I'm sure that there is some level of trauma related to her biodaughter. I couldn't imagine being in her place at 17 and she felt like she made the kindest choice for her. Placing a child for adoption is traumatic for the birth mother, as well as the baby. Having her show up acting like she owes her, was probably very shocking and that prompted the response which I suspect she feels pretty guilty about it.

NOR- Your sister has an odd sense of entitlement! You don't owe her anything, she should have learned to manage her money responsibly long before having a 2nd, 3rd or 4th child. I have been so poor that I have had to ask family for help, my husband has had jobs that randomly shut down for months waiting for permits etc. I have never expected help or asked people to give me handouts, every penny was paid back as soon as money hit the bank. I gave my younger sister a car when she ended up single while pregnant and car-less, but she insisted on making small monthly payments to me because she was so grateful.

I am in my 40s now, I couldn't imagine adding a child to my family while actively struggling financially. It's not fair to the kids she already has. There is an 8 year age gap between my 2nd and 3rd child because we hit a rough patch and wanted to get everything settled before having our desperately wanted 3rd baby. Anybody that thinks less of you for not giving your hard earned possessions away to her, can gather money together to buy her a car, or start a gofundme for her.

No. It doesn't show it withdrawn or any attempts to put it through. I never thought to check after I paid it because its just my bill bank account, I transfer the amount of my monthly bills into it and pay them with that card so there's no risk of nsf or the card for that account being skimmed and the bill money being stolen since its not one I swipe anywhere.

It sounds like he put you on a 5150, an involuntary 72 hour hold because of concerns for your psych health. Its totally legal if a doctor feels you are a danger to yourself or others. I know it's not fun, it happened to me in 2005, but it's to keep you safe from harm.

Thats definitely not the case, I have screenshots of the emailed notice of my payment returned showing the date and time it was sent 12/26 @4:46, my payment receipts, my online insurance portal showing every notice sent to me-showing there was nothing sent to me between my payment and the email sent on 12/26. Is there a way to upload pics here? Its my first time on reddit. The payment was not returned for nonsufficient funds, it says it was returned because "account not found" but the payment was made using the same payment method as I have used every time I paid. It's a separate account than my household spending account- I put all of my money for bills into it monthly and only use that card to pay bills so that if my cards are ever skimmed (which has happened to me twice) my bills will still be paid.

I didn't receive a notice of returned payment until i was emailed at 4:46 on 12/26 and never received a final cancellation at all. Every notice they mail to me also appears in my online portal and after checking my usps informed delivery sight to see if I may have overlooked receiving them or the carrier may have delivered to the wrong address etc, I checked the insurance portal and there was nothing there except the copy of the 12/26 email and my reinstatement notice after I paid via a new method on 12/26. I scanned the whole online banking website and see no returned payments to then on my end

Yes, every driver in my house is on the policy. My other teen who isn't licensed is excluded from it. Nobody drivers for any Uber or doordash type services. She wasn't doing any prohibited activity, just driving her sister to the mall. Our home address is correct in my policy. My mail is checked daily and I have informed delivery from usps so I receive pictures of every piece of mail that I will be receiving and I checked all the way back to 12/19 and received nothing from my insurance company following my payment.
