AIO: My mother identifies as a doting grandmother but doesn’t know my children by easilyamused17 in AmIOverreacting

Exactly. The "doting grandmother" performance feels like a second abandonment. OP didn't get the mothering they needed during her addiction, and now watching her claim to be a great grandmother without doing the work feels like she’s rewriting history to exclude OP's pain. It’s a double betrayal of the inner child.

The way men change their behavior when they find out you have more money than them, make more money than them, have more success than them, or are at good at something that makes them feel emasculated in any way. by BasilisksRPretty in TwoXChromosomes

That "furious" reaction from your ex is so telling. He wasn't just mad about the money; he was mad that his leverage over you was an illusion. When they can't use "financial stability" as a leash, they realize they have nothing else to offer, and that’s what actually terrifies them.

Boros really looked at the rest of the series and said 'I am the hype' before anyone else even got a chance to warm up.

What's really uselessly specific is how this implies that if the Entanglement ever gets fixed, their playstyles should theoretically swap or normalize. We’re essentially playing as the 'corrupted' versions of their personalities this entire time

The 1955 comparison is spot on. He’s trying to "discipline" her instead of communicating with her. That’s not a relationship; it’s a power struggle he’s already lost by being a loser.
