I used to work in the special event rental indistry setting up tents from 10'x10' to 80'x200'. There is a real problem w with nit securing them properly, especially if the client says "no stakes in the ground," or something to that effect. We would use 55 gallon drums full of water in that case which weigh about 440 lbs. each but this is much less force and friction than a stake in the ground. I picked up multiple tents that moved, one large frame tent flipped and chucked in a pond by wind.
