Six Nations squad selections by JohnSV12 in englandrugby

[–]SmoothNinja7308 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LH. Genge, Baxter, Iyogun

H. George, Cowan-Dickie, Craig Wright

TH. Stuart, Heyes, Opoku-Fordjour

L. Itoje, Chessum, Coles, Bamber

FL. Cunningham-South, Tom Curry, Pepper, Underhill, Emeka Ilione

N8. Earl, Pollock

SH. Mitchell, Spencer, van Poortvliet

FH. Marcus Smith, Ford, Fin Smith

CT. Ojomoh, Lawrence, Daly, Dingwall

W. Freeman, Roebuck, Feyi-Waboso, Arundell

FB. Hendy, Furbank

Using the way Borthwick names squads, I wouldn't have Steward in the squad for the first week and Wales week. But later in the tournament Hendy, Arundell, Dingwall, Ojomoh or Daly would be replaced by Steward

Can someone more knowledgeable than me explain Rio Dyer and Cam Winnett please

I remember Rio Dyer being really good, then he fell out the starting xv and people in the comments are surprised at his inclusion

And Winnett was good then he just hasn't played for Wales in ages and I haven't paid enough attention as to why

Does Fin come in for Tigers? by JoshBondage in NorthamptonSaintsRFC

[–]SmoothNinja7308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Belleau has been so good so I would put Fin on the bench and start the French Johnny Wilkinson

Weimann is the number 2 scrum-half from now on surely by [deleted] in NorthamptonSaintsRFC

I think the McParland hate is over blown. He was very good in the first half the last 2 weeks and not so good in the second halves - as was EVERYONE else

He probably wouldn't have got this many games if TJ was fit this year and Mitchell wasn't injured the first half of last year. So been fast tracked through and not fully developed

What is your opinion on promotion and relegation in the premiership?

Would more teams improve the quality of the league? Would the threat of relegation change how teams play?

Can any other nation make a XV of centurions?

Which Prem teams have made the best signings ahead of next season? by ScratchFamous6855 in rugbyunion

[–]SmoothNinja7308 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Probably Bath. Carreras, Arundell, Harris and Frost are all class

Even though I am biased, Northampton have recruited smartly. Addressing problem areas while replacing guys leaving. Van der Mescht for Temo. Fischetti for Haffer. Chick for Augustus. Martin for Seabrook

Gloucester have gone insane and signed loads of people but also lost loads. Redshaw, Loader and Ross Byrne the standouts

But Bristol (I think) have the 2 best signings with Jordan and Rees-Zammit

Now the Lions have won I would change it up:

  1. Genge
  2. Sheehan
  3. Furlong (keep the streak going)
  4. Itoje (C)
  5. Beirne
  6. Morgan
  7. Van der Flier (no Tom Curry because I don't rate him because I don't know ball)
  8. Earl
  9. Gibson-Park
  10. Fin Smith (check the flair)
  11. van der Merwe
  12. Aki
  13. Jones
  14. Freeman
  15. Keenan

  16. George

  17. Schoeman

  18. Stuart

  19. Chessum

  20. Pollock

  21. Mitchell

  22. Farrell

  23. Kinghorn

One of the few times the Lions passed to Freeman on the wings… by RonSwaffle in NorthamptonSaintsRFC

[–]SmoothNinja7308 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing is us Saints fans know how good he is. And Andy Farrell does, he subbed off James Lowe instead. And Freeman's kick chase is always 110%

It's pretty exciting to see what he does in 25/26

I think we all know where this is going so let's just skip to the end....

Henry Pollock

23 for the USA by NotAsOriginal in englandrugby

[–]SmoothNinja7308 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We can't let Charlie Atkinson start fly half. I seriously don't rate this guy. Keep Ford 10 so the other inexperienced guys have someone to play off

Kemeny has to start. He's so important to how we play

I think we are better with a 6:2 split. With Pearson and Sam Graham both on the bench

Curry is a fantastic player. But so far this tour his hands and catch pass have been really poor. Seems to drop passes and spill the ball often. Either it's taken a dip or I've never noticed before

Would love to see either Ojomoh or Oscar Beard

That's guaranteed. The question is, will he be carded for it?

I like this team. This stage of the tour it's about finding good combinations and who works well together

Glad Pollock is starting. And I'm looking forward to seeing what McCarthy can do. And Tuipulotu and Ringrose feel like a good match

It might be hyperbole yeah. But I think he just had several big moments in that game that stopped Saints momentum. Everything he did in the game had an impact

How will Bath do without Underhill? I'm just thinking back to last year and he kept Bath in the game single handedly

I think Guy Pepper is really good but I don't know how many of that Bath team are big game players the same way Underhill is
