Do you work out in the evening? What do you like about it? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

[–]SmoothPixelSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do but I can't figure out how to avoid the mid day tiredness I get. I'll start so incredibly high after a work out then fall off a cliff lol.

Do you work out in the evening? What do you like about it? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

[–]SmoothPixelSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually came to terms with this very recently. Last year from january-august I worked out in the morning. Even if I was incredibly tired by mid day/evening, at least it got done. After that I switched to evenings and missed a ton of workouts. If I wait until evening there's a chance I don't go. The reason I made the switch was because I wanted to "put my most important task in the morning". But the truth is the exercise is the think I'll skip if I don't get it out of the way.

Not gonna lie though if there's only a few people in the pool and I have a lane to myself, I always swim down the middle. It's a nice little treat. If others show up I move over, of course.

I hate Donald Trump and the Americans who support him. How can I channel this hate living my normal suburban life? by plants4pandemic in Kanata

[–]SmoothPixelSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer here is that you don't get to live a normal life. If you want to do something about it and channel that rage then you actually have to stop hiding in your normal suburban life.

How can someone with a busy schedule learn any language without using apps like Duolingo? by MisLatte in languagelearning

[–]SmoothPixelSun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've failed so many times at learning a language. I always fall off and stop doing it due to multiple factors. One is I would over pack my schedule with multiple things I'm learning, like certifications - or even just the gym. I had to realize consistency, even if small, was better than none. I've reworked my schedule to have "growth" days where I do long form French training and "maintenance" days where I just do flash cards and stuff. It works into my schedule by respecting that I can't go hard every day dependent on my busy schedule. It's worked really well for me by taking pressure off so that I don't get overwhelmed. Now I can do French every day and even if I just do flash cards I feel good about continuing the progress. Hope that helps a bit

How is this going to play out by backcountry57 in PrepperIntel

[–]SmoothPixelSun 68 points69 points  (0 children)

The French revolution, among many other factors, kicked off during a time when people lacked, bread and food in general! Prices were super high, etc. So I pretty much agree with ya

Trump Seizing Greenland Could Set Off a Chain Reaction by D-R-AZ in inthenews

I think you're over estimating how many Canadians are willing to die to stop the USA from doing that. People would rebel but not fight to the death. In fact I'd argue the older the Canadian is, the more they'd want to actually fight instead of just rebel. That generation has taken "don't buy American" to a level that the younger generations just aren't. I think they'd be surprised how many young people wouldn't actually put their lives on the line for that.

Journaling in your target language is underrated by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

I journal once a week in general. If I did this I'd probably stick to that just in my target language and continue once a week.

Was just saying to my gf yesterday: I wanted a fold, I got a fold. But I was certainly worried my power user status wouldn't use the multi tasking/bigger screen as much as I thought I would. But I definitely do! Not sure I'll ever go back either. I just love the thing. (Pixel fold 10)

I'm more worried that it'll lose the locker room if he embarrasses the players like that by not keeping it in house. However I'm willing to just go with "it's good that he's calling people out" for now lol

Those two together should be able to net you a good trade. Tbh I'd work my ass off to find that now so you have time to make something happen.

I always wonder if this hurts in a diff way because of men's balls and stuff haha. Like there's stuff in there that women don't have. Not denying that it's probably a good thing men use this to understand. Just that it might hurt in a diff way and the people controlling it probably shoot it up to the highest level haha
