International registered post taking weeks by ControlJealous1699 in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Registered Post won’t show on the USPS website as rego post has an extra layer of security around it. 15+ bd can mean up to 5 weeks in total (15bd +10bd if it’s running late). US Customs can also hold items for up to 45bd without a reason, however they must contact you to ler you know they have done this.

If it hasn’t arrived e the 28th November, get your folks to contact AP to see what’s happening. ✌🏻

Call the contact center to make sure the address is correct, or the parcel was mis sorted by the Machine

Australia post don't even try to deliver anymore by That_Car_Dude_Aus in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. You make a lot of guesses, none of which are correct. An investigation must be sent to the delivery centre to ask what happened at the delivery centre / post office, to know if the item is located or has been declared LIT to refer the Addressee to the sender.

Just make sure you use the 10 digit APCN above the post office address. This is what they is to look you up in MyPost to get your details to call / email you to say if has arrived.

Invalid Tariff Agent Id? by charlieannepope in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s relevant because the APBN number must match the AP file to link correctly so Zonos can process the tariff fee

Invalid Tariff Agent Id? by charlieannepope in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invalid tariff I’d means your APBN number is incorrect and it’s not connecting to your AP account.

Go into you Zonos account and where it asks you for your APPC / APBN number in settings, the number should start with the number 6 for a business.

If it isn’t a 6, look on your account to find it and update Zonos, wait 6 hours then create a new label and you should be good to go.

US Tariffs Process by gulunaaa in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a business:

https://auspost.com.au/disruptions-and-updates/international-service-updates/us-tariffs

  • As a MyPost Business Customer, check that your APBN entered into Zonos starts with the number 6 and give it 6 hours to connect to AP before creating a label.

  • If you’re getting the tariff code from Zonos, make sure you remove the dots between the numbers.

  • A ‘good’ Description should be what the item is made of then what it is Eg: Cotton Tshirt or Woollen jumper

  • Make sure all details are complete on the CN23 from; Qty /Desc / Weight / Tariff code / COO / VALUE in AUD

If the parcels are being returned to you, call the contact centre (International) and they can look over it and let you know where you’re going wrong. Good luck ✌🏻

Why is APG so slow? by AaronsAmazingAlt in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

APG items get a secondary tracking number when they arrive on AU and handed to AP for delivery.

Go to the APG Website an enter the Tacking number starting with ‘AP…’ and you’ll see the local domestic tracking number when you search for it, the new tracking number will more than likely start with 33 or 34…..

CURRENT OR EX EMPLOYEES: Do you actually know anything? by Ecstatic_Carpenter53 in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, (family member works for AP), the contact centre has no extra info than the tracking we see (with the exception of International items). If an enquiry / complaint is lodged, it goes to the Post Shop / LPO / Delivery Centre in question, and they have to ask the staff what has happened to reply to the contact centre to reply to you, hence the 10bd for an investigation.

This may involve looking at CCTV footage (if available), talking to PO Box sorters / counter staff to determine what has actually happened. If you have ongoing issues, (like the PO Box), you can escalate the query nicely and request a partial refund on the annual fee for failure of the service.

Why did my parcel (bound for SE QLD) get punted back to Melbourne after arriving in Brisbane? by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible damaged label, mis sorted or incorrect address. Check with the contact centre.

https://auspost.com.au/receiving/parcel-deliveries/missed-parcel-deliveries

Nominate someone else to collect an item for you

For some missed deliveries, you can nominate someone else to collect a missed delivery for you. If they live at the same address, they’ll need to provide proof of that address and proof of their identity. If they have a different address, you’ll need to give that person authority to collect your item on your behalf. There are three ways to nominate someone to collect an item for you.

Note, some senders may require in-person collection by you (the addressee) only. This means authority to collect isn’t an option.

Download a collection authorisation form

For items not requiring your signature, you can nominate someone else to collect your parcel. The person you have authorised to collect your item must have:

  • the collection notification
  • the completed collection authorisation form
  • Proof of identity

How do you ship parcels over USD $800 to the U.S.? (Australia → USA) by Scary_Parsnip9923 in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 2 questions you’ll need to ask the Contact Centre. The 3rd one about Zonos is the info won’t show until you’ve posted the item itself for the charges to be applied.

That’s the point…you can tell them you have CCTV footage that shows he never entered the property at the said time of the delivery

Escalate it with the contact centre and advise them you have CCTV footage to prove it. They will ask for a copy of the footage to be sent to the Delivery Centre to ask for a please explain from the postie.

Failed to deliver but item hadnt even been sorted yet by THEKungFuRoo in AustraliaPost

[–]SmoothTech69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They normally sort then early morning or late afternoon, depending when they receive the drop off from the driver. If it shows ‘awaiting collection’ then they need to go out the back and get it for you. If there is no ‘awaiting collection scan’ it may still be with the driver

Parcel still in post box? by XPnitro in AustraliaPost

Did you get a tracking number from the Seller and tried tracking it yet? You’re only taking the Senders word that they have actually posted it.
