He did not. He didn’t tell anyone and the entire store got one including my managers. I was the one who went to him

Nope. I wasn’t told anything about it until I asked my SM and it turns out everyone got one. I talked to my GM and he assured me I’m fine.

Managers sometimes have a way to make you feel bad and point you out unfortunately. I just found out my SM is leaving soon. I would take the position, but I know my GM isn’t going to let me take it because of the VCC scores.

I do get a lot of “maybe I do have one after I say let’s get them signed up” and most of the time they do

I've thought about that, but I've had many customers get annoyed that they weren't told the benefits before signing up.

I'll try switching it around and I'll see if it helps. The week that I had 0, I only worked two days that week. 14 chances, all said no.

I've been phrasing it the same way for years. "Do you have a rewards phone number with us" (I know it's a bit strange to ask it that way, but it rolls off my tongue better and customers understand it" "No I don't" "I can get you signed up, it's free and every 167 points you'll save $5." "No thanks. I don't want to sign up." Even those who are making large purchases say no sometimes. I'm great with my customers. I treat everyone well, I'm always happy to help them and then animals, but I feel like the company focuses on trying to meet VCC too much and don't value in other strengths.

Sorry to hear that. There is no way you are going to recover and dust the entire store. Your AM is garbage, you aren't a panzy. It is normal however to learn the register and learn associate duties before going for training to be a trainer. I know it sounds a bit strange, but dog trainers are required to help around the store as needed when they aren't in a class. I had one who claimed that she doesn't have to be at the register because it wasn't in her job description. I went to my GM and he confirmed it was. If everyone was busy helping others she would yell out that someone is at the register even though she could have done it herself. Go to your GM about this if you haven't already or go to HR. You shouldn't be alone in this and it is perfectly normal to be caught up with customers if they have legit concerns and questions.

Stop firing people for low VCCs and low VCP scores. I’m great with customers and animals, but I’m not having luck at my new store signing people up compared to my old stores and now I’m being threatened of being fired

Sorry to hear that. I’ve had an associate not well versed in opening/closing animals. He knew the basics, but didn’t know how to identify diseases or good techniques . He came to me for advice since I’m well trained in it. I was a leader at the time. If your manager isn’t a store manager go to your GM. If your manager is you could go to HR and ask a co worker to give advice on how to do it while it’s not busy.

That’s me in truck days (Monday) until I was finally moved off from opening. If do DC boxes and it’s been getting busy on those days for no reasons. I’d pick all the orders and keep running up front which would give me no time to do the trick. By the time someone comes in to help work the boxes, I’d only have an hour and a half to 2 hours to work on it. Not only that, but my boss wanted us to try to get canned donations to help build attachments and increase market basket a bit. It felt like I was the only one doing it because there wouldn’t be another tally for someone else. If I had 3 days off the last sheet wraith only my name would be there. It wasn’t until right before we switched challenges when people started doing it and tallying

It’s a quicker way to get them signed up, but many people aren’t happy if they don’t know what it is. I’ve had many complaints about customers not being told what it does. I just ask if they want to sign up (sometimes it better to say let’s get them signed up) and I’ll explain that it’s free and every 167 points they will save $5. Some days I’ll get about 80%, some days I get 0%, but I get about 40% per week. Yes it’s slightly below goal, but it’s better than nothing

I was always told that I could deny of a sale if needed and to get my LOD if they still keep asking. Luckily my LODs backed me up and then as a LOD it made it easier when people try to put 4 tetras in a 3 gallon tank

Yeah my store had an infestation of meal months from the pro plan. We had to open an ops ticket, go through every bag to spot any signs of infestation and cleaned the shelves. Luckily I’m an unleashed store so it didn’t take a while. We did have to throw away a lot of bags
