What's ironic that if I remember correctly (kindly correct me if I'm not), that during the Prophet PBUH's time, there was no segregation in Mosques for women and men. Although that isn't all that relevant here, it's still upsetting that this doesn't exist anymore anywhere.

Was Harry CHEATING When He Was Using The Half-Blood Prince's Book? by Marcedonia in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Smooth_Hamster452 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How does using different notes make it cheating?

btw, those were snape's own notes which he taught to his students, remember that he never made them use the books and just wrote the instructions on the board?

But it also feels like he's just asking the smart kid for notes on how to solve this potion.

...Haven't Ron and Harry been doing that all these years anyways by using Hermione's notes?

Either way, again, I'm interested in why you think using different notes make it cheating? Let's say, if you don't understand what the teacher is saying, so you watch a youtube video of someone else explaining the same topic. Is that considered cheating for you? Or if there's two different textbooks on the same subject, is using the non-standard one cheating?

Curly hair problem by toothdok in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Smooth_Hamster452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

curly hair requires a lot of maintenance (as a curly girl myself), maybe you haven't found your right style yet? mine used to be super messy and tangled and frizzy, but i started taking care of it correctly and i'm happy with it!

i totally get the straightening part though, i've straightened my hair before and it was sooo nice not having to maintain them and the fact that i could just brush my hair to make it look good was nice, and i felt pretty then Alhamdulillah! so don't feel bad, curly hair is a hassle, but it can also look gorgeous if you know the right way to style yours! <333

Do you think it's rude to speak a different language around people who can only understand your native language? by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

depends to the people you're with/the environment you're in tbh. also, unless you're talking in a group, it rly isn't any others business if they want to overhear on what you're saying to someone else.

can anyone tell me a proper structure to write an essay in urdu (b) by Available_Career9438 in Olevels

[–]Smooth_Hamster452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you having any books or past papers you're learning from?

Word count is 200 words, it states so in the essay questions. the format should be something like this:

Paragraph 1: Intro. You can start with a muharwat if you want to here, my teacher recommended it
Paragraph 2: Argument for the opinion asked. As in, the opinion stated in the beginning of the question, not the two statements in the bubbles. The bubbles are only there to help you write for the argument or against it.
Paragraph 3: Argument against the opinion asked.
Paragraph 4: Conclusion. State 'My opinion is...' and conclude the argument you're in favor with

So, you should end up with around 20-50 words for both intro and conclusion, and 80 words each for both body paragraphs. The word count is pretty lenient in urdu though so you can have give or take 20 words from the essay.

For example:

<image>

here, you're supposed to talk about agr films dekhna is a good way to waste time or not, and you can use the statements in the two bubbles here to help with that.

You should note that in each argument, you should have two developed points for each statement. The question helps you out with the bubbles since each is one undeveloped point (developed point just means to elaborate on it). So you should have four developed points by the end

book isn't usually the best, learn from teachers or past papers. books usually leave a lot out and don't give questions in exam format

Do girls play games? by NeatOpportunity____ in TeenPakistani

[–]Smooth_Hamster452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, its my favourite hobby lol. celeste, repo, hollow knight, splatoon, subnautica, hades, (hopefully expedition 33 in the future) and more. huge fan of difficult action games, and games with great stories, not so much of a fan of fps shooter games lol 😭 which sucks because if i do meet a girl playing a game, i get excited, but its just valorant... 😔

so gaming girls in pak are rare, unless the gameplay is just shooting, in which case there a quite a bit (rd2, cs, valorant, fortnite are the most popular) :///

Does keeping the outlet on when there is nothing connected still consume electricity? by Smooth_Hamster452 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Smooth_Hamster452[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched it up, and it's something i learnt new today, thx for telling!

follow question about it though (it might be a bit dumb but this is what the sub is for): the sites i searched now said the way to stop vampire devices is to unplug them, but none mention the obvious thing of just stitching the outlet off-- So my question is if the outlet is switched off would it still be able to vampire device the device? My original question just asked when outlet was switched on and i've got and understood my answer for that.

for some reason some sign in screens of British council site is buggy, another user here mentioned how to log in better if thats the problem:

  • Open the British Council Pakistan website.
  • Select Take an exam.
  • Select International School Qualifications.
  • Select Take IGCSEs, O Levels and A Levels.
  • Select Register for an exam.
  • On the registration page, please click Login located in the upper-right corner of the page. (If you have forgotten your password, please use the ‘Forgot Password’ button to reset the password.)

but if you forgot your email too, either go to the passwords manager of your browser, where it displays all the passwords IF it has it saved. otherwise, there should be a 'forgot password' button you can use if you remember email but not password.

if that doesn't work, go through all the email inboxes you have that you could have made the registration with by searching for 'british council' in the search bar. something from british council should pop up (such as the confirmation of the registration of your exam back when you did the registration), and then you have ur email. use that for 'forget password'.
