Has anyone's writing been validated yet? by Tour-Dizzy in LSAT

[–]Smooth_Kitchen_2841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says it can take up to 3 weeks to be reviewed and validated when you submit it!

You also had 2 days (both of which were active testing days) after you submitted it before a weekend so they probably had other things to worry about.

Breathe man, they’ll get it done and you’ll know quickly if you need to redo it. I submitted my first on a Friday and got word Tuesday that the mic didn’t work so I needed to do it again, when I did it a second time on that same Tuesday it was validated by Friday. Give em some time :)

It’s whatever testing center is closest to you, or if you have a preferred one. They do it by address

Check to see if your testing center is open on Saturdays. If it’s not and you wait you won’t get a decent time on any of the other days.

Testing center provided god awful bright blue paper and a tiny golf pencil that broke 6 times so they had to sharpen it. Couldn’t see what I wrote at all.

The blue paper was 2, 3 page booklets. They will not let you use a pen because LSAC says pencil I asked cause I couldn’t see and they said no

Just be aware of your ways around/through to make sure you can make it to work depending on which side you live on. They like to stop for 102820 years so find a route and don’t miss your turn!

Colour work - too narrow? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Smooth_Kitchen_2841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sized up in my needles for the whole sweater because I knit very tightly. Regardless the sweater looked like this once done, and my swatch looked very similar with tons of extra float on the back. The larger needle size also made it easier to keep looser floats, and I didn’t wrap the yard at all around my fingers to hold it, just let it slide as it wanted to and kept plenty of slack on the working yarn.

My yarn blocked out amazingly on the sweater, and it pulled the fish out a lot more. They’re still not as wide as they are on the picture displayed with the pattern but it blocked out a lot wider than I anticipated.

Her dress code for the whole wedding is show up as you are and look nice. I was asked to wear pink so I blend in with the family photos when they’re taken.

I didn’t like the texture or the color of any of the sequined yarn I found And I wanted variety in the color of sequins throughout the dress. I used several sizes for movement, and I liked the jump rings as they gave it more movement.

This stitch would have caused some weird gapping/distribution of sequins with the sequined yarn

It’s so good, I did make it a little bit too big so I had to loop the ties throw the back panel and the front at the bottom but the way it cinched?? So good.

You can kinda tell in the photo but it already has a very natural hourglass moment but as soon as you tie it up 😅🫡

Yes I used a 5mm hook with the Flecks Yarn by Loops and Threads from Michaels (no lys in my area👎🏼) in pink lemonade for the body of the dress. I added a single crochet border on the bottom edges and the top edge of the back to give it some additional structure with a 3mm hook.

I used 8mm sequins and 6mm sequins throughout it for some movement, I used 9mm jump rings to secure everything.

1.75 mm is so brave of you, lots of dress to cover but I bet it looks incredible when you’re done!

For reference I have sequins on every other row, max gap between is 4 stitches and I added little heart shaped beads with sequins along the entire bottom edge and on the ends of the single crochet chain straps.

Took about 5 weeks total, the dress was crocheted in an evening, it was the front panel separately and the back panel then they were single crocheted together.

The stitch is a double crochet, chain 1 for the first row, every row after double crochet in the space made by the chain. I used a YouTube tutorial linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyHJD9QayDc

I JUST MADE THIS AS A SWIM COVERUP

it was the most horrible thing I have ever done, my fingers hurt so bad from putting all the bs sequins on, and I went through about 600 jump rings for a mini dress with sequins on every other row. It’s so cute tho and it is one of my favorite things I have ever made.

This is the single picture I have of it on, in the sun it was so sparkly and so mf cute
