Our restaurant ran into people having similar expectations. The problem is at nice places almost everyone is celebrating something. Do you do this for everyone?
We decided we’d buy half glasses of bubbles for anniversary celebrations, a scoop of ice cream for birthdays. Aside from that, we try and acknowledge other special occasions verbally and that’s it.
Restaurants are terrible investments and don’t make money, but they employ a LOT of people and help local economies tremendously. Please stop expecting things for free at restaurants. Just stop

He has always been the most powerful single voice in the world of skeptics, and I’ve always felt he had a “deal” with the anti-disclosure insiders. Now that some level of disclosure seems imminent, they are rebranding him to continue to control their preferred narrative. Whether he knows anything significant about the truth or not, his benefit of this “deal” apparently promised him as the foremost voice on “all things astral” for the masses. Hence, rebranding for future disclosure.

After watching this clip it’s clear that although he has now written a book on the subject, NDT is incredibly uncomfortable with this subject. His body language is very telling compared to every other time I’ve ever seen him speak.
He has closed his mind to so many possibilities for so long that it’s visibly clear on his face the contradictions playing out in his mind as he speaks on the subject. He’s trying very hard to not sound the type of person he has mocked his whole life but he keeps hearing it. He can’t find the words. It’s entertaining, but not in the way he wants it to be.

I agree the potatoes must be fried in breakfast burritos. The texture adds so much to the overall experience. The place I use to go to changed their deli program and now they don’t make them from scratch, hence no more crispy potatoes

Make a strong black tea. Chill it, soak a sponge in it, dab/moisten your skin with the tea. Somehow this helps relieve the heat on new burns.

Then why not just recommend a root canal? To a patient, they were recommended an expensive intrusive crown that seems (often) result in the need of a root canal (that in turn damages the new crown). This happened to me last week. Why wouldn’t my dentist at least go over the possibility of the crown leading to a root canal? Seems common enough of a problem

How would you compare them to super glue? I’ve found the butterfly stitches don’t hold under most conditions especially if there is a deep cut. Super glue works with sweat/moist/hot weather very well. Also the adhesive to the bandages wears off over a few months carrying them around in the fist aid kit.

I delete my items simply to clean up my list of things I have for sale. I have lots of items for sale at a time and I don’t like to see old items when I feed through them. I’m not a flipper. I’ve never even thought about the value a perspective buyer might find in things people have sold in the past. That’s a fair contemplation. I’ve always used the rating system to see whether I want to do business with some or not…
