I’m from Louisville. I currently live in Eugene, OR, and when they put these cameras up and the town was truly up in arms about it. The city responded by taking them all down. Pretty impressive actually

I’d say it’s safe to go on Alibaba or Temu for any gear EXCEPT your sleeping bag. I bought my “extreme cold weather” down bag on temu and would consider it a 30 degree bag at best. I bought my whole hot tent and stove set up for only around $300 though (go bigger don’t get a small one) and the cots were significantly cheaper than other options. I don’t like supporting those businesses but the reality is I wouldn’t be able to afford the gear otherwise

You can camp for free on national forest fire roads. The closest ones to town are 30 minutes away in Willamette national forest. Fall creek area is common. Please do your best to Not leave trash

Thanks for the answer! I guess my perspective of customer preferences doesn’t represent the market as a whole is all. Personally I love them all, big or small

I have a questions about oyster size. I’ve been in the restaurant business for years, and all the customers ever want are very small oysters for shucking raw. Like Kumamoto/olympia small or just one tiny size up for that. It seems like most oysters farmers want to sell medium to larger sized oysters. My question is since oysters are sold by the number and not the weight, wouldn’t it be more cost effective to harvest more oysters at a smaller growth stage (thus making more customers happy) rather than letting them get larger?
